My doctor wasn't really informative as far as TTC goes. She told me all I needed to know about the D&C and recovery but I didn't get a clear answer on how long you should wait after m/c to start trying again? I m/c'd pretty early, at 6wk 2d so it was a "normal" m/c.
Today is 1 month (and 1 day) post-D&C. I haven't gotten AF yet, but was wondering what the norm is, or when it's safe to start trying again.

Against my doctor's recommendation we didn't wait. But she told us to wait at least until I got AF again. That didn't happen for 10 weeks so around 8 weeks later we said screw it and had unprotected sex!! Didn't result in a baby though, I don't think my body was ready at that point.

We tried again at 3 months and after a different miscarriage, again at 1 month. I've always been told to wait 3 months but obviously we didn't always heed the advice...

we waited 3 cycles after the first miscarriage. i think you should wait at least one cycle. most doctors will tell you to wait 3.

My midwife told us to wait 2 cycles but we only waited one. Of course, we didn't get pregnant and I was actually pretty relieved because I would've hated to have another m/c and blame myself for not waiting. I miscarried naturally at 7 weeks.

Dr said the minimum was 1 cycle. Took three months for me to get my next BFP.

Both of mine were natural (7 and 12 wk)--I didn't have a D&C. My doctor told me one cycle. A D&C thins your cervix, so that may be why a lot of women are told to wait a little longer.

My ob told us to wait one cycle since we m/c early on (6 weeks).

We were told to wait 2 cycles post natural miscarriage. It took us 7 cycles (those 2 and 5 more) to get a bfp.

I had a natural miscarriage super early at 5 weeks. One doc said we didn't need to wait at all and another doc told us to wait one cycle. We opted to wait one cycle and I'm very glad we did. I think it was important to have that time for my body and my mind to recover. We got pregnant on the very next cycle (our first try post mc) with a healthy pregnancy.

I started to miscarry naturally and ended up having a D&C a week and a half later. Doctor said wait one cycle for your body to normalize. My period came a month+ after and was very light. This was our first cycle trying since then.
