My LO is 3 1/2 weeks old and she never does more than a three hour stretch at night. Usually she gets up every two.

Same. I had a fluke when he actually gave me a 4 and 5 hour stretch. Unfortunately that only happened once.

Same. Now, at 5 weeks, I get a 4 hour stretch once a night and the rest are 2ish.

she had started to give us a longer stretch, maybe 4 hours and then up every 2-3 after that.

By 4 weeks DD was sleeping 6 hours a few nights. By 5 weeks she was sleeping 7 hours many nights. At 6 weeks she was sleeping 6-9 hours a night, no longer waking every 3-4 hours. It was fantastic. On the flip side she fought daytime naps unless being held and at 10 weeks still fights daytime sleep. So I don't get a break during the day and am pretty exhausted each night after dealing with a fussy sleep fighter. Oh well, could be worse I suppose!

I would wake her up after 4 hours at that time until we got the okay to let her sleep longer at 5 weeks. She was a sleepy girl.

@oliviaoblivia: up for the day? There is no such thing as that for my LO, she just sleeps all day long!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: yeah, she was very alert in the mornings when she was little. Slept most of the afternoon away, but very interested in things in the am.

it depends on the night? Mine is just over a month old and I want to say 3 hours MAX is what she was doing (now we stretch to 4 since she's eating a bit more but we still have nights where she's up every 2 hours, it's 50/50) it depends on how well she's eaten and whether she gets hungry or not I think... I do not believe in waking her up to eat, but I also don't EBF either- which I think makes a difference!

3 hours on the nose. Freaking clockwork. Right about 5 weeks or so, she started going 4-5 hours

I started getting 4-5 hour stretches at 3 weeks. Just the first stretch of night then 3 hours after that.
