I didn't tear my perineum, just some outer tears. I have a few stitches. I'm 4 days pp and the stitches are starting to bother me. I've been doing a sitz bath every night and using the pain relieving spray. It's really not so bad... i remember it being a lot worse with DS since I had a second degree tear.
Just wondering how long it took others to heal? How long were you uncomfortable?

Oh man I can't remember about the actual stitches... A couple weeks? A week? The tear hurt for what seemed like forever though.

It was definitely a couple weeks 
I remember I was so happy once they got itch because that means they were healing! Congrats on the new baby

6 weeks, but I had dozens and they were really bad. Based on your description, I'd guess 2ish weeks.

i noticed the stiches for about 5 weeks and at 8 weeks pp still don't feel normal, though the pain is gone.

I had 3rd degree and 2nd degree tears, but I don't remember feeling or being bothered by stitches!
I had pain/discomfort for about a week with both though.

I had an episiotomy and internal tears, don't remember the stitches bothering me, but I was on tylenol 3 for two weeks. I had the pain/heavy feeling for a while though.
