Olive has been going down really quickly lately! I think she's been tired, and also we've worked out a routine where she goes into her crib wide awake and she puts herself down. We'll see how long this miracle lasts!
How long does it take to put your LO down for the night?

I give her a bottle and she falls asleep while drinking it. The whole change, swaddle, bottle routine is probably around 30 minutes. Over Christmas there were some late nights and she was overtired so it would take a few tries before she would stay asleep when we put her in the crib. Tonight we are back on a routine and she went down on the first try (fingers crossed... I keep waiting for her to wake up again!!)

We're on vacation so her routine is all screwy. She usually goes down very quickly.

Both kids go to bed awake. The baby falls asleep right away. My older one takes a few minutes.

I nurse her for about 10 minutes, then DH reads her a book and puts her down...so less than 15 minutes.

He goes down easily. He's usually asleep within 5 minutes, if he hasn't already fallen asleep while eating his last bottle. It's the subsequent wakeups that are hard!

Usually bath, pjs and books take about 20 mins. Then he goes in crib awake and falls asleep within a few minutes. Tonight for the first time in over 6 months he fought his night sleep like he's been fighting his naps for the 5 weeks - shrieking. From start of bath to him falling asleep took an hour and 20 tonight, total shrieking time was 45 minutes. Hoping with all my heart it's just a fluke, I can't take 3-4 shrieking sessions a day.

From walking into her room (post bath and teeth brushing) to laying her down is less than 2 minutes. As long as it takes to turn on her white noise, turn off the light, and sing You Are My Sunshine. She goes right to sleep.

It's been taking longer and longer. 
Ever since we took the paci away, she fights going to bed so it can take up to an hour to get her to sleep some nights, but it's usually around 20 min from the time we read a book to the time we leave her room.

Bedtime routine takes about 45 minutes. Actually putting her down and falling asleep takes maybe 5 minutes. We sleep trained at 6 months, and bedtime has been wonderful since (she's 10 months now).

No bath tonight so not that long for my toddler. Changed her into PJs and diaper, sleepsack, brush & floss and lights out! Less than 10 minutes.
Baby takes longer because I nurse and it really depends on how hungry she is...5-45 minutes of active nursing.

Lately, super quick. Dinner around 530, bath around 6, read 2 books max, and then bed. Sure it will change when the newborn is here!

Entire bedtime routine takes about 20-30 min depending if it's a bath night, he's asleep within 5 minutes once my husband turns off the light and leaves his room.

Ours starts at about 7:30pm with bathtime, and it's usually 10pm or later by the time she's asleep. She takes up to an hour to eat after her bath & I have to rock her for a while after that.

We are usually really lucky. We read stories and sing to DS then tuck him in and it's over. Occasionally we will hear him talking or singing and go in and tell him it is time to sleep, but he is generally pretty easy.

A half hour but that counts his bath, dressing, book and then nursing session. He goes into his crib awake after that and is out in 5 minutes.

Not long. Once the bath is done and pj's are on, we read three books, sing three songs and she goes in her crib. Once she's in there, she may play quietly or roll around some but she doesn't call for us.

It totally depends on the night! On good nights it takes 30 mins for pjs, books and nurse to sleep. Naps are way easier because I don't nurse to sleep anymore. I'm working on putting her down awake for bedtime. More often than not lately, she's up within 30 mins of putting her down at bedtime and I have to nurse to sleep all over again. Ugh.

It takes me about half an hour from start to finish (brush teeth, lotion, pajamas, books, sleep) on days when he doesn't take a nap. On nap days, it may take an hour or two to get him to sleep.

About an hour- we do bathtime, PJ's, some milk and books, brush teeth, more books, then put her in crib. It only takes her about 2 mins-10 mins to fall asleep, usually she plays with seahorse then goes to bed.

Just a few minutes until he is asleep from the moment we put him in the crib. He's always gone right to sleep unless teething or sick.

We do baths every night, but they are quick. So my 17 month old has bath, toothbrushing, diaper/lotion/pajamas/sleepsack, put down in crib awake. The whole process takes about 10-15 minutes, and she is usually asleep within 15-20 minutes.
My 4 year old takes a bit longer, but only because he's too busy goofing off and we have to negotiate the number of books each night. So he goes to the bathroom, brushes his teeth, has his bath, then lotion/pajamas, 2-3 books, then we leave. He usually falls asleep pretty quickly too, especially if he hasn't had a nap that day!

We are very lucky that DS loves his crib and bedtime is his favorite time of day, so it only takes us the time to put on his PJ's and kiss him goodnight. He falls right asleep or rolls around a little, but is always content to be in his bed.
I still haven't introduced reading at bedtime since we both WOH and I need to get dinner started, etc. during the week. I don't want to start doing it if it's going to be difficult to keep up with on busy days.

Within 5 to 10 minutes, sometimes requiring a quick check and pat on the butt to let him know we're still here. Separation anxiety in the house!

From beginning to end (potty, bath, brushing teeth, lotion/PJs, books) is about 30-35 minutes. DD usually requests 2-3 books a night and then I put her down awake in the dark. I do stay in the room with her until she falls asleep because she finds comfort in my presence and I like watching her fall asleep. It's probably a habit I need to cut soon but for now, I can't give it up!
