I just started putting sunscreen on my LO before preschool drop off at 9 am. Will this application last her all day? I think they go back on the playground around 2:30 pm. Does she still have sufficient coverage then or should I ask them to reapply?

You should ask to reapply! It depends on the sunscreen but I think anywhere from 2-6 hours? Shorter if in water and not waterproof?

I would ask them to reapply. My BabyGanics sunscreen says to reapply every two hours even if you don't get wet.

@regberadaisy: @MamaMoose: ok cool. I was thinking that. They said that they do not usually put sunscreen on the kids and that I have to special request it or something. How crazy. The sun is so strong already!

@Andrea: that's crazy!! My daycare does it ALL the time; we leave a tube there!

@Andrea: ohhhh but it's not kindergarten right? Montessori preschool? I should ask what BIL's Montessori do seeing as they are in GA and it's god awful hot there!

@regberadaisy: they go up until the 3rd grade. do they put sunscreen on when kids reach kinder? i suppose by then the kids can put it on themselves pretty good? anyway, the teacher said that i have to speak to the office first and fill out a form?!? gotta do that soon!
