Both days this weekend DS's nap has been on the short side - 1-1.5 hours. Usually we get about 2 hours. I hope it's just because he has a little cold.
How long does your 18 month old nap most days?

I votes 1.5-2hrs but it's almost never 2 hours. More like 1 hour 40 min on most days. Not enough for me, but apparently enough for him! I was really hoping he'd be napping 2-3 hours once he was on one nap but apparently he had different plans!!!

When my son was that age it was 1.5 hours. 10.5-11 at night.

He is 17 month and has been doing one nap for a few months but it was usually 1.5-2 hour. Out of nowhere about 2 weeks ago 2.5-3 hours became his new norm and it's been glorious!

I have 19 month old twins. One typically naps 2 hr 15 min and the other 2 hr 45 min. Lately they've been pushing their nap back and then they aren't tired at bedtime and it's causing huge issues. I think I'm going to have to start waking them up at the 2 hour mark!

So jealous of 2.5-3 hour naps! I can count on one hand the number of times LO has slept that long.
@BabyTsMom: we are in the same boat, DS is usually up at the 1 hr 45 min mark almost to the minute. But these even shorter naps have been lousy.
@winniebee: that's sounds like DS's sleep schedule - before these weird short naps.

My daughter is 19 months old and naps 1-1.5 hours. Anything over that is very rare, maybe 2 hours 1-2x a month? She has never taken these epic 2-3 hour naps I read about.

Don't hate me!!! My son is 21 months and at home on the weekend he sleeps 3 hrs (sometimes 3.5 if he wakes up early in the morning), at daycare usually 2 hours. He loves his sleep!

When DS was that age he napped about 1-1.5 hrs and it's stayed the same (he's now almost 3.5). DD is 14 mos and take a nap anywhere from 1.5-3 hours, depending on how early she wakes up in the morning. FWIW, she's still a lousy nighttime sleeper and I swear it's related to her super long naps.

Just saw this thread while searching about 18 month old nap schedules! My little guy was sleeping an hour for one nap and now it's 30-40 minutes for the last week or so. Hoping it's a phase/illness/teething but obviously not normal when so many others are sleeping 2-3 hours at a time! Bummer

At 18 months LO napped for about 2 hours. Her naps actually lengthened as she got older but I attribute that to me SAH now and her being able to nap in her crib every day.
