It's been a while since the last commute thread, so I thought I'd ask.
It takes me anywhere from 30-45 minutes or so if I head straight from work to the office. I usually like to stop for breakfast or coffee though, which adds about half an hour.
How long is your commute?

7 miles, about 15 minutes. My poor husband has to live where he works, but is going to commute after baby is born. It is 80 miles and takes about an 75-85 minutes through some canyons/windy roads. Awful in winter here!

During the school year, its 45 minutes. Its not too bad though because its all open highway with hardly any traffic (speed limit 60-70 mph).
Right now (over the summer), I'm working 5 minutes from my house and I get to go home on my lunch breaks. Its amazing!
In November, when we move to the town that my regular job is in, my commute will be about 10 minutes. I can't wait!

Less than a mile but 8 traffic lights so 5-15 minutes depending on red or green 
but I usually stop for coffee

If I take public transportation, 50 minutes door to door given no train issues. If I drive, about an hour and a half to two hours one way.

30 minutes from the steps of my home to my office door if i take public transit or bike. 15 minutes if i drive.

I work about 25 minutes away from where I live. If Hubs drives, it more like 30. We like to carpool, but he's slow!

Mine is at least an hour door to door. I have to commute over a scary high-speed windy mountain road too. Once we move in a couple of weeks my commute will be about 2 minutes -- as long as it takes me to walk across the street. It will be a very nice change.

53 miles each way. It usually takes me 50 mins in the morning and between 1.5 to 3 hours in the afternoon. (I live in Southern CA) Today, it took me 2.5 hours to get home! Luckily, I work from home 3 days so I only have to commute twice a week....doing this drive FT when I was pregnant was brutal!

Lately it has been a lot shorter since it is summer and there are less people on the roads. It is about 35 minutes. During the school year, it is over an hour.

About 15-20 Minutes to work and about 30-35 going home. For some odd reason, the traffic always gets SOOO backed up going home.

@autumnlove: I am like you. I am about 60 miles each way (RI to Boston). Mornings seem to work pretty well usually an hour to 1.25 hours. Heading home is a nightmare. It's been 2.5+ hours every night this week. It is misery...

if there is no traffic 10-15 minutes, but if there is traffic anywhere from 45-1.5 sucks!!!

I'm about 4.5 miles from work...takes me 15ish minutes door to door to get to work and between 20-30 minutes on average to get home. I'm lucky that I have a good surface street route home if traffic on the highway is backed up, so I've never had too long of a commute.

The main campus I work at is about 45 minutes away during rush hour. Another campus I work at occasionally is about 20 minutes away- I love that commute too since it is against traffic.

I'm a SAHM mom now so zero but when I was working my commute ranged from 45 min to 90 min depending on the day (Fridays were always the worst). Towards the end of my pregnancy I would get nervous I wouldn't make it home in time to make it to the bathroom without a stop. I stopped working when I was 35 weeks pregnant to not only get ready for the baby but my husband and I didnt like the idea of me spending so much time commuting when I was that far along.

20 minutes on a good day. Longer in the winter - stupid drivers forget how to drive in the snow every year.
