My OB told me to keep taking stool softener for 2 mos but I was wondering if that's too long. How long were folks on the Colace post partum?

I stayed on it for a couple of weeks. I think you could probably just see how your body does without it or if you feel your ready to stop it.

I didn't take any stool softeners. Luckily I didn't have a problem in that department. I think it helped that I ate a lot of fruits and veggies and seaweed soup.

I took it about 3 times after getting home from the hospital.

I was on it for a while but the painkillers were constipating me anyway so i stopped taking both. I don't think the colace worked on me anyway. Blah. I had such issues getting my BMs working again!!

My prescription is for a month so its almost gone. I'm a little scared. Lol.

I took miralax throughout my whole pregnancy and continued after for probably 2 months. The dr. ok'd it since I have problems in that area.

I was given a prescription for 2 weeks. I think that was ideal for me.
