Ideally, we'd like two kids. We already own our home, but we only plan to be here for another 2-3 years...I think we've honestly already outgrown it (its a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath-we've got about 1200 square feet of finished space with a full basement that we could finish at some point).

Our next house will have to have at least 3 bedrooms with an office, but I think 4 would be optimal. Right now we have a guest bedroom and it's really been clutch when my parents have come into town. It would also be nice if it had a full basement!!

I want to always have a guest room. So if we have two kids we need a 4 bedroom house and if we have three kids we need a 5 bedroom house. We currently have a three bedroom house. We intend to move before we have a second child... but we also could make it work in this house since we have a loft space upstairs that could easily become a fourth bedroom by just putting up a wall and building a closet.

Our condo is 2BR and 2 BA, which is plenty for us right now and we could easily have our first baby here. But DH really wants a single family home, so we'll probably start the search early next year for something that has at least 3BR and 2BA and a fenced in back yard (which is something he really wants and would be great for our dog!)

We're thinking we'll be done with 2. We'd want at least 4 bedrooms with 2 kids. If we had a third we'd need 5 bedrooms.

We are looking at 4+. Ideally 6. One for us, one for each of four kids, an office, and a guest room. It's a tall order. We could make four work if there were a finished basement.

We have 4 bedrooms currently. Right now we're planning on 2 kids. I think 4 bedrooms is sufficient for us, but I do wish they were a bit bigger.

We’re moving into a 3 bedroom/2 bath and I think that it should do us for awhile. I don’t know how many kids we’ll be having. It depends on how this one goes! But our ideal number is between 3 and 5 so we’d probably need more bedrooms if it was higher than 3. I’d prefer to have a guest bedroom but I don’t think it’s a necessity. My parents never had an extra guest room. They’d just kick one of us out of our rooms which I think is perfectly fine

We have 5: master, DD's room, new baby's room, office (I work from home), and then a guest room. The perfect amount since we are done after 2 kids.

We currently have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse. It works perfectly for the 2 of us - plus Toby, our dog

DH and I work for the same company and we don't have the need for an office. So our extra bedroom right now just has boxes, and misc. things in it (our printer, computer stuff, etc.)

We would like 2 kids, so I think 3-4 bedrooms would be perfect.

We have three and I think it's going to work for us because we have a study too. We'd like to have two kids. Maybe when we have them and they're older we might need more space.

Our house is a 3 bed, 1.5 bath & we considered it a "forever home" when we bought it. How wrong we were, though it's not really an issue with the number of beds and baths - it's all about the size of the rooms!

Our early '40s home has the opposite of an open floor plan, and although there are more rooms, the room size is on the smaller side. The biggest concern is actually how the heck we would comfortably live with 3 or 4 kids in the smaller kitchen and living rooms.

We plan on building and will have 3 bedrooms upstairs and a finished basement with 1-2 more. We plan on 2 kids, with a possiblity for a 3rd so this should be big enough for us. We have been talking more and more about our next home, it's getting excited. We found the land we want, so we just have to start savings big time!

we just moved last year into a home that we wanted to live in for at least 10 years. it has 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs used as a study for now. we ideally want 3 kids, so i wanted a home that had 4 bedrooms upstairs, but it was just more expensive. so we'll probably have 2 kids share a room until we move again or eventually convert the downstairs room into another bedroom.

We have 3 bedrooms and we will absolutely be getting 4 bedrooms in the next house. We are converting the one we're using as an office into the nursery, and we're having to combine the office with the guest bedroom. So we're already feeling crammed. And we're going to have at least one more baby, so 4 it is!

We'll probably have 2 kids, and I'd like to end up in a 4 or 5 bedroom house. We'll be living in Iowa though, so real estate is cheap! If we were to stay in California where we live now I think there's no way we'd ever afford something more than a 3 bedroom.

We just sold our urban townhouse that was 2bd/2ba with loft/office and purchased a 4 bedroom plus office house in suburbialand! We're expecting twins in November and then we're done They'll share a room for the first few years leaving us two guest bedrooms and then they can each have their own room and we'll still have a guest bedroom.
