We had three bedrooms: a master bedroom, and then two rooms for the kids. There were four kids, so we all doubled up. I didn't have my own room I went to college! Never really bothered me though...
How many bedrooms did your house have growing up?

3. One for parents and one for myself and my brother. I briefly shared with my little sister...but I'm 16 years older so it wasn't for long. We only have 3 now so our children will share. Glad to hear you didn't mind!

4. I am an only child so we also had an office and guest bedroom.

We had three but I only had to share for a couple years because my sisters were so close in age. When I was 14 we moved to a 4 bedroom house and each had our own rooms. I even had my own bathroom so it was a big upgrade.

4 with 2 kids. My dad used the other room as his office.

6 with 4 kids. We had our own rooms and one guest.

3. My sister and I shared and my brothers room was the guest room (he had to take a couch when we had visitors)
My brother lives there now and had 8 (9th on the way) kids. They made the attic into two rooms, and three kids share my old room. But it's an old house (built in 1796) with large rooms (mine was 20x30).
My great grandmother was born there and was one of 12 kids.

6 bedrooms with 5 kids, so everyone had their own room. Some of the rooms were quite small and my parents had an addition put on when it became clear that sharing wasn't going to work with all of us fighting.

5 with 2 kids. My mom is the eldest of 9, and we often had our large out of town family visit for all the major holidays!

It was technically a 2 bedroom house but we added a bedroom in the living room for my 2 brothers to share.

3. So my brother and I had our own room. But we only had 1 bathroom to share between all 4 of us and that sucked.

We had 4 bedrooms. One for the parents and the other 3 to be split among 6 kids. Well, technically, 5 kids and it wasn't 5 for long--we are all so spread apart that my oldest brother was out of the house before my little sister was born, and my oldest sister moved out soon after.
So really, it was like 3 bedrooms split among 4 kids. I shared with a sister until I was 12 or so and my 2nd older sister left for college. Then I got her room, yay!

Log house: can't remember. I think it was 2+loft.
Trailer: also can't remember. It must have been 2?
Glenmore: I wanna say 3.
Lynburn: 5. Finally got my own room.
boarding school: shared with 2 other girls
Clinton: 3 bedroom.
Grandma's house: 3, with a little curtained off section in the basement to make it four.

3 until I was about 9 then we added a huge addition and had 4. There were 2 kids and we each had our own room. Thank god. I could never have shared with my brother. We drive each other nuts.

5 bedrooms with 2 kids. Maybe my dad was overcompensating for growing up 4 kids to a room.

4 bedrooms and 3 kids so we each got our own room. My youngest brother didn't arrive until much later, so my mom had a sewing room/guest room for a long time.

My childhood home was also my mother's childhood home. When she was a girl, they had a family of 7 and 3 bedrooms, plus a converted downstairs area. They had 4 girls and a boy, so each girl doubled up and the boy got his own room.
When my grandparents passed it on to my mom and dad, by then they had added on a new master bedroom. So, for us, it was a 4 bedroom house with 4 people. One of the bedrooms was really small so it was turned into a kids area/tv room.

Each house had 3 bedrooms. I shared with my sister at my dad's and my brothers shared a room at my mom's.

We had a standard 3 bedroom 1970's brick suburban house - one bedroom each. I have the same style house now (I live 5 minutes down the road from mum's) but mine has 4 bedrooms as there is a 1990's extension on the back. One bedroom is currently a study.

4 bedrooms plus a den (that's now our bedroom whenever we visit my mom)

@mrbee: We had 3. Hubs and I have 4 now, but upon building our new home sometime in the next couple of years, we will be downgrading to 3. It will be an overall nicer home though, a pine home. since we don't really plan on more than 2-4 kids, this shouldn't be a big issue. I had my heart set on building a tiny home, but it's just not going to be happening.

We moved a lot when I was a kid. The most we ever had was 4 and the least 2.

Our houses had 2-3 bedrooms. We moved quite a bit and my sister and I shared for 10 years.

3! Master and 2 kid bedrooms. It was just me and my brother so it worked out well.

5 bedrooms, 4 kids. No room sharing, which I'm grateful for... With that many people in a house it was nice to have your own space.

3 bedrooms, 2 kids; but my uncle lived with us until we were in high school!
My brother and I shared a room until 5th grade and then he moved into my uncle's room until we moved to our 4 br house!

4 bedrooms, 3 kids.
We never shared a room but we did play musical rooms. When I went off to college, my brother swapped his room with mine. I had no idea until I came home for Christmas break. when he went off to college my sister tried to turn his room into a walk in closet.
