We have a 3 bedroom apt right now - our room, DD's room, and a guest room as we have a lot of overseas visitors.

We're currently house hunting and are really only considering four bedrooms or more, preferably with a separate study. We have too many visitors to not have a guest bedroom and as we want three kids, we need at least two bedrooms for them. We want our kids to share bedrooms but British bedrooms are notoriously small so more than two sharing a room is not practical!

4 upstairs-ours, E's, and two guest bedrooms. We have a finished basement and one of the spaces has a california king, which is great for friends who have little kids staying over!

1! We're probably moving soon, and I'm not sure what we'll end up with. As long as it were decently sized, I'd be OK with another 1 bedroom.

@Greentea: us, too! As long as the bedroom is big enough, I don't mind it, even with a new occupant on the way.

@Silva: I would like a slightly bigger place, but I do love our tiny little place. It's easy to clean, and it feels so homey!

@autumnlove: what do you do with six bedrooms?! I can't even imagine that at this stage in my life, lol. But growing up, that would have been amazing, because there were 5 of us kids!

@spaniellove: I honestly never understood the purpose of formal, unused rooms. Playroom sounds nice

4- it used to be us/guest/my craft room/ DH office. Now it's us/guest/nursery/office, but I took over the closets in the office and the guest room for my craft and party supplies.

@petunia354: same here! 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom! We have a small den area that I use as my sewing room though. We use one as our master bedroom, one As the guest bedroom, and the 3rd bedroom as storage!

2 bedroom 1 bath condo. Even though I would love a bigger place it's fine for the 3 of us.

    4, but it's a 2 up 2 down arrangement so not ideal!

1 is ours, 1 is LOs. Downstairs we have. 2 guest bedrooms (one doubles as a home office). It's perfect for when the ILs come because they have their own bedrooms/bathroom/den. Not sure what we will do when LO #2 comes though! Dd1 will probably have to go downstairs but that gives me heart palpitations just thinking about it.

We have 4 bedrooms. We have the master bedroom and a guest room, one room is an office, and one is a TV room / den. When we have a baby, the den will become the nursery.

@petunia354: I'm with you! We only have 3 and it works for us right now. Bathrooms were the big thing! When we bought our house, the number one thing on our list was TWO full baths. I don't need 17 bedrooms, but one bath just wasn't cutting it for us anymore!

We have a bungalow. On the main floor is two bedrooms (ours and now a baby room) and a "flex space" that we use as an office. Down stairs we are finishing two more bedrooms. They have legal size windows and closets, so they will be nice full sized bedrooms!

    3. we plan on moving in 4 - 5 years or so and want at least 4. so it can be either a playroom or office, or combo!

5, one of which was converted into walking closet. One for us, one for LO downstairs and one guest and one office upstairs. When LO #2 comes we'll convert the attached garage into a bedroom so we can all be on the same floor. DH will get a shed outside for all his garage crap, we park in the double driveway.

We have 4 which makes it sound big but the bedrooms are pretty tiny! We were going to have a master, a nursery, an office and a guest room but now we will have two nurseries instead of an office! DH still wants to use it as an office over the next year since LO will be in our room for a few months. We have space in the basement to put a desk. Neither if us work from home so it's not a huge deal but I would like to have a space for days I have to.

We just moved from a two bedroom. And 500 sq ft before that. How is it 4 seems small? Oh yeah, kids....

3 - master for us, one for DD and a guest room. We just moved in and this is a semi long term home. Once #2 comes along he/she will likely be in our room for better part if first year then transitioned to share room with DD. We want to keep guest room until the kids are older to earn their own rooms. Hopefully sleep doesn't get completely screwed up when they have up share!

3 bedrooms. The third is an office for now since it feels too tiny to be a functional bedroom.

We have 4 true bedrooms, plus an office that could be used as a bedroom (but you have to go through it to get to another bedroom).

We currently have a renter using the office/bedroom combo, but eventually it will be our guest room and office/playroom. We have in office in our finished basement for now.

Currently, we are in a 1BR with an office nook. Looking to Move to a 2BR, so the 2nd room can be an office/guest room and then a baby room/guest room.

Technically 3, but each room is tiny! The room we sleep in is the biggest and fits our bed (queen) and a narrow dresser only-- no nightstands even. We both work from home, so the other rooms were used as our offices and closet/dresser space until now. My desk has moved to our living area so that we can have a nursery instead of an office in that room. We have a big living/dining room area so it makes up for the other small rooms. Can't expect much space in NYC anyway!
