7, which seems like a lot but they all either have their purpose or are waiting for LO2! I have a moby, a infantino mei tai, a ergo, a standard tula, a toddler tula, a tablecloth SBP ringsling, and another infantino carrier I bought off classifieds. At one point I also had 2 woven wraps but we are SSC people. The moby and 2 infantino carriers I recently bought off classifieds for a really good price and I just have them waiting for baby number 2. I should sell my ergo but the market is kind of horrible for them so I've kept it as a backup. I could probably purge a few things but LO1 still loves to be carried at 17 months and LO2 will be here in May, as LO2 grows out of the smaller carries we'll start selling them.

Just got rid of our carrier, so none!

Just 2 at the moment, a ring sling and a woven wrap. I've used 5 total. In addition to those I borrowed a moby and mei tai from a friend when LO was a newborn (which I've since returned) and I had a smaller sized ring sling that I passed along to someone else. I don't really feel the need to amass a ton of carriers, although I feel like at some point I might want a shorter woven wrap. I have a 6 and it is a little long for some of the carries we do (which is most annoying in public because the tails drag when I'm trying to tie it).

ETA: the answer to your second question. I like my ring sling for when I want to just wear her fast. Like for a quick trip into target or the grocery store or if she is being cranky and I need to clean up the kitchen or something. It's just fast/easy. I like the woven wrap because it's really pretty (let's be honest lol) and because I can do other carries with it. My LO doesn't like front carries and right now hip carries seem redundant since I have a ring sling so I mostly use the wrap for back carries. I don't use it that often right now-- mostly if I want both arms totally free around the house like to vacuum or cook. I'm not confident enough to try to get LO on my back in public but I hope I will get there and be able to do that by this summer because I think it would be nice for doing stuff like going to street festivals and whatnot.

Two really nice ring slings (comfy joeys) that i need to get rid of, a lovey dud soft wrap, and an ergo.

I've got a Moby, two Ergos (one for DH and one for me), a woven wrap, and a ring sling @Mae: let me borrow that I should send back because I can't figure out how to do it. We mostly just use DH's Ergo and my wrap at the moment.

I was gonna say two, but it's technically 4.
K'tan which I only used for 3-4 months.
Ergo which I used for two years.
Toddler Tula I'm borrowing (but it's too big)
Then a babyhawk that I used a few times, was never super comfy. (My SIL gifted the babyhawk and the tula to borrow- she is big in the baby wearing community.) I love my stroller equally if not more...

I think I'm gonna get a standard tula and donate/sell rest.

@Foodnerd81: depending how cold it is, i will just have LO in a fleece sweater under my coat, but if need be, the beco can go over both our coats which is awesome, although not often necessary.

One Ergo. I gave away our k'tan and sold our Maya wrap.

Used to have a K'tan and Boba Wrap, now just a Tula and hopefully will be getting a second Tula.

4, although I can't locate my moby or ring sling. But my 29 lb 2 year old can't fit in there! I also have a boba 3G and a toddler Tula that I love.

Two slings, a Moby, an Ergo, an Infantino (used 3 times, hurt my back) and a hiking backpack.

We came late to baby wearing but I recently bought an Ergo which I use to back carry our two year old and I also bought a ridiculously cheap Kelty hiking backpack which gets an occasional outing. A friend has also loaned me a soft stretchy wrap to use once Squish has arrived.

4 for two kids
- a super light linen SSC called Masupi
for when they're little
- a standard Tula (with to grow extenders)
currently used for our toddler when we want him contained in public
ETA: And the stroller is not an option
- a woven Didymos wrap
LO2 is so tiny that the SSC didn't feel right and I didn't want to get a Moby type wrap that I can only use for a couple of weeks
- an Osprey Poco carrier
used for hiking
