We'll be moving to our 6th place (in a couple weeks) in 9 years! Our needs kept changing like working from home, one kid, two kids, school district, etc. But I like fresh starts and an excuse to purge.

he was staying with me at my old apartment, but hadn't officially moved in, then we moved into the apartment we're in now.

3 real ones where we legitimately lived together. Before that 2 where we didn't officially live together, but spent nearly every night together.

We are currently in our 6th place together in almost 9 years.

We lived with my in-law's for 2 years (engaged at the time) and moved into our current house 4 years ago. We plan on this being our forever home.

3. A townhouse in college and then our first apartment, which was just his before we got married, and the place we're in now is our first new place together.

3 apts in just over 5 years of living together, in 2 different cities. before that, we'd each lived in a different apt each year since leaving for college, so we definitely aren't going anywhere for awhile! we won't have a "forever home" until i finish grad school but we've been in our current apt about 2.5 years and will be here for at least another 2 years, probably 3

1 short-term sublet and 5 different apartments in 3 different states. Sooo... 6 places in 7 years. That's pretty terrible! Every time we found a place we loved, we ended up having to move for DH's education! He's finishing his PHD now.. so hopefully the next move will be for a job, and will be into a house that we'll keep for a long time!
