Shower #1 is this Sunday... totally been registry stalking. And our registry is still pretty full of options. I'm expecting lots of diapers (even though we're CDing and noted on our registries) and clothes.
I figure I'll just exchange for the registry items that I have marked as "necessities."

Not as much as I would have liked...we got a lot of clothes, usually without a receipt which was a little disappointing as that is not what we needed.

I got most of the things I registered for only because I didn't register for too many things and the items I did choose were affordable necessities.

I got a lot of stuff off of my registry, but i didnt register for that much to begin with. I got a lot of great gifts outside the registry, stuff i hadnt even thought of.

My shower invitations were mailed on Monday so people are just starting to buy things. I'm really really hoping that the fact that we aren't finding out the gender will mean people will buy us more things off the registry and less clothes!

I had 43 items originally and after 1 shower that # went down to 18. Now that my 2nd shower is in 9 days..I still have 16 items left but I expect them to be bought the weekend of, just like the first time...people like to procrastinate.

We got half the items off of our BRU registry (and the half we didn't get was mostly non-necessities) and our amazon registry was probably a quarter, if even. Only about 5 people shopped the amazon registry.
Thankfully we didn't get hardly any clothes and the only diapers we got were the ones we registered for.

Almost everything-I haven't really had to buy a thing...registered at BRU/BBB/pbk. This justified me splurging on a custom glider!!

I actually got most of the necessities I registered for, so that was helpful. Most of the items on my registry were affordable, though, and we rec'd most of the big ticket items (crib, furniture, stroller, etc) from close family members.
