And how old is your LO?

At 4 1/2 months, we only use the one insert. We change her every 2 - 2 1/2 hours and haven't had a leak...one blowout when we didn't get the size right.

For my two-month-old, we just use the one standard-sized insert. When I used them on my two-year-old, I added a second insert.

5 months. I always double stuff. So 12-14 or so per day? Depends on the day? I use thicker inserts through the night.
I have just used one, but like the fit better with two, so not fixing what isn't broken!
I have......40+ inserts, so rotate them through as needed.

I use both inserts on my 3 month old; they fit better around his waist then (little waist, basketball belly, fat thighs so gapping is an issue).

Both microfiber inserts during the day, one microfiber plus hemp overnight. That's been our routine since around 15 months.

@ohapostrophe: Do you still snap down the large insert? My almost 15 month old walks so weird when I double stuff her daycare diapers!

LO is 15 months. We just use the one standard-sized insert during the day and haven't had any problems with leaks etc. so far.

LO is 17 months. We use the large (snapped down to the middle setting) and the infant microfiber inserts or the large microfiber (snapped) and a small hemp insert if we're going to be out of the house for a while. We almost always have a leak if I don't double stuff the 4.0s.

@autumnlove: yeah they're on the last snap...otherwise I feel like they don't fit in there

One during the day but we occasionally have a leak so I should probably use two. LO is 7.5 mos. We use a bamboo fitted as our overnight diaper because LO is a very heavy wetter.

We only use the large insert during the day and two at night or the large insert plus a ragababe insert for night. LO is almost 2.
ETA: I wonder if we change a lot more frequently or something?! We have never double stuffed during the day and we have never had leaks
I'm confused as to why everyone else needs to be double stuffing during the day?

@anbanan15: I think my daycare does diaper checks every 2-3 hours. I stuffed her 4.0s with only one insert today..I hope there are no leaks!

My 2 month old uses the newborn inserts during the day and the one sizes at night. Although I think I need to start double stuffing her at night! The one size was soaked this morning! No leaks though.

I use and have only used one insert (thirstiest hemp inserts) in all my pocket diapers am never have a problem. My daughter is 20 months old. They are the best inserts ever (for us) since they hold a lot, don't have compression leaks and are thin!
I'm confused as to why everyone else needs to be double stuffing during the day?
