I try not to post more than 1/day (and there are days I don't post any). But sometimes I get carried away while on vacation 
Generally, I think more than 5/day is too many. What do you think?

I agree. 5+ is usually too many. Especially if they are all in a row or all of the same subject matter.

I voted "there is no such thing as too many," but that's only for my baby. Never too many pictures of her. Everyone else? Maybe 5.
ETA: I agree with others. Several over the course of a day is no big deal, but 5 in a row is A LOT.

I have no issues with the number of pictures it's when people consecutively post many many pictures that it gets annoying!
@.twist.: exactly. If you're showing up in my IG feed 5x in a row, VERY Often. That gets annoying!

I try to only post once a day. Sometimes I'll post twice if DD does something exceptionally photogenic.
I think the limit on IG contest entries should be once per day. I'm sooooooo sick of moccasins.

In the case of cute HB kiddos, there's no limit. But generally five would probably be overboard.

I don't care about limits. I don't post more than 1 or 2 a day and some days none, but other people's pics don't bother me.

More than 2-3 in a row confuses me... more than 5 in a day I think. I think vacations and special events it's exciting to see lots of pics! But if it's a constant thing? yeah it gets a little annoying.

More than 2 in a row gets a little irritating. I'd say if you're posting more than 5 over the course of a day, that's too many.

I normally post 1-2 a day, but it doesn't usually bother me when people post more. But the repetitive 5-10 pics at a time, multiple times a day, is kinda strange.

As long as there is variation, I don't mind. It's when every photo taken on the phone automatically uploads and there are seven photos of the same thing that makes me unfollow.

I would say 3 per person max! Unless they're on a fun vacation and have lots of different things to show off.

I follow a couple of people who consistently don't post for days, and then post like ten pics in a row of what they've been doing/working on/seeing. So frustrating! I think for me it's the big number in a row that's annoying.

I actually don't really care as much about the number of pictures, but I don't like when my feed gets flooded with multiple pictures of the same thing by the same person.
If someone posts 10 pictures in one day, I'll still enjoy seeing them, as long as they're spread out and not of the exact same thing. I especially enjoy seeing vacation/travel pictures, and I don't mind when people post a lot of those!

For myself - 4 posts max on a really special day. I hate posting more than two in a row. If I can't decide what picture to post, I usually make a collage so it is easily skippable if someone doesn't care.
For others - use it however you want.

I hardly use IG, so I post.....maybe 3 a month? I would think it's strange if someone were posting several times a day, just like I think it's a little strange when someone has multiple FB updates a day.
I mean, not that I oppose people doing it--to each their own--but on a daily basis, I'd rather be experiencing life than documenting it.

I go in spurts. Some days, I post a lot while other days I don't. I know I posted 4 today which is on the higher side for me.

I said 3. It is rare that I post more than 1 a day and I don't post every day.
There are exceptions though, like birthdays, travel, and professional pictures. I'm going out of town this weekend so I'm sure I'll post more but I definitely won't post: at the airport, in my seat, my dt coke and peanuts, a picture of the clouds, a picture of the landing strip....

Probably 5? Unless it's a special event or vacation. Regular every day photos kind of get old when there's more than a few in a row.

3-5 is ok. I get annoyed with multiple photos in a row of the same thing. I try to usually post 1/day. I'll post more if it's something special/vacation/special occasion. I also don't like all the contest entries.

I'm sure I'm guilty of posting several photos in a row...but photography is my thing, and I use IG as a visual diary. But I don't usually post multiple pics of the same thing. However, if we are out and about, I kind of post as I go along.

I generally post 1/day or less, but I voted no such thing as too many. I joined Instagram to encourage myself to take pics of things that make me happy on a daily basis and to have something for myself to look at. I don't really care who else sees my page. I figure... No one HAS to follow you on Instagram. Do what you want and if people don't like it they don't have to look!
