I've noticed that most people are planning 2-3, just curious!
DH and I are pretty undecided. I'd say 1-3, but who knows!

We're also undecided. 2-3.
I want 3..... but due to finances and health issues, it'll probably end up being 2. DH wants 2, but he's very open to 3.

I used to want 3, but after seeing how crazy life is with just 1, now I want 2! DH has always wanted 2.

We're undecided! At most, we'd like 2 but sometimes we think we'd be happier with just our little girl. We decided we'd revisit it in a year or two. We'd like for them to be about three years apart if we had another.

I want four but there is NO WAY I can talk DH into that. We currently have two and so I'm hoping I can talk him into one more.

Most likely we will have 2 kids but if we end up with 2 boys we may think about trying for a 3rd.

DH says we can't stop til we have 2 of each, but I think 4 is enough, so if after 4 we don't have two of each, we'll have to reevaluate.

I think three, and would even consider four, DH wants two. I have one sibling, and I always wished I had a bigger family. I just think it would be so much fun! I guess we'll see where life leads us, but I know for sure I want more than one.

We are also undecided. DH says two, I say three (or four-the more the merrier!). But who knows!

Just 1! I'm open to the possibility of 2, but I think we would both be happy with one. We have lots of family in the area, so I don't think they will lack for that!

3, with the option for a fourth. Looking to work on adding a second in the next month or so.

@duckduckkristen: wow! Two of each and you'll keep going after 4 if you don't have them! Go you!
We've got one and I'm pretty happy with our one right now. We're not planning on having anymore so, that's probably a good thing. If we were planning on another, they would be 2+ years apart and I'm already 35 so, I doubt we'll have another due to my age (I don't' want to be THAT old of a mom).

I was think 2-3 DH wants 4-7... He wants a big family. I suppose we will take whatever the good lord will bless us with.

I'm the opposite of everyone! I would only want 2 personally, but DH wants a big family of at least 4! So we will see....

Right now we are thinking just the one, but I'm going to wait until LO is at least a few years old before deciding.

I think I'd be happy with two, but DH says he'd want to go for a third if we have another girl. Right now I still remember how difficult pregnancy and life with an infant is, so I'm biased toward stopping sooner. But we'll see what happens in 5-6 years when we are ready to talk about a third.

DH wants two, I want three. He grew up in a large family (8 kids) and hated that he was not close with many of his siblings. I grew up with two siblings, which I thought was perfect!

1-3 biological, and as many adopted as we can responsibly parent. We're planning on adopting special needs, so that could potentially restrict the number we can afford/handle at a time.

@Sugar.Biscuit: exactly same with us!! :)) We always say we'll take what the good Lord blesses us with. And hopefully it isn't like... 10. hahahaha!

We both come from pretty large families and loved it. Together we have 16 siblings! I have 4 and he has 12. We would love a full handful of kids but I'm just trying to get through this first pregnancy lol.

1 is a handful, but before she came our ideal was 2. We might change our minds in a year or two. But for now, 1 is more than enough

We have one and one on the way. We talk about a 3rd but we aren't sure!

2-3. If we get one of each sex, then we're done! If we double up, we'll try for one more, but that's it!

The plan is 2. I'd be open to 3, but DH prefers 2 and that would be a lot easier, financially and just logistically. Plus we aren't super young, so if we spaced them out, I'd be getting a little older than I'd like to be having babies-- I'll be 32 when I have this first one if all goes according to plan.
ETA Also, gender has nothing to do with it at this point-- we will just take what we get on the first two (so we say now).

2-3. I feel the same as @Alivoo01: , if we have 1 and 1, we'll stop at 2. If not, try once more!

We've always planned for 2, but sometimes I think maybe I'll want a third. I'm pretty sure we'll stick with our original plan of 2.

DH wants two.. and I bounce from 1 to 2 to 3. I guess we will wait and see how we do with one before we decide!

I'd like 2, my husband would like 4 or more! Realistically, I'm not sure. It's taking us a long time to conceive one. When/if I get pregnant, I'm not sure I want to go through all this again.

We're pretty set on only one, but we haven't closed the door on the possibility of a second. We're going to reevaluate in year or two. Two is the max, though.

We have 2 and are both very happy with that. Four of us fit perfectly in our current house, and I don't want to be outnumbered! But my kids are only 4 months and my mom is already hinting about more!

We currently only want two these days, so by that, we are Done! We are very happy with two

As of now DD is most likely our last. We have 4 kids right now with one turning 18 in a few years. DH is40 and would like to retire in his 50's. I am 23 and would have another if DH wanted to but with our financial plans and his retirement plan we probably wont.
nectarine / 2504 posts
I'd like at least two. Having 3 would be pushing it for us financially.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
Definitely 2, but we waver between 2 or 3.... we'll have to see how we do with 2, and if we can even afford a third down the line!
