I voted four. If I could I would do one more adoption and end up with five but I don't think my husband is up for that

The answer changes often. Right now I'm going to say 2, but fortune telling uncle says that we will have 3.

3 with the possibility of 4. I told DH I didn't want a "clan" since a handful of our friends have 5-7 kids! eek!

I voted 3, but it could go either way - 2, 3, or 4. It all depends on money, life, etc... but 2 for sure.

2 maybe 3... but will definitely have to see how it goes after even just 1. =)

Maybe 2, likely just 1. I'm always surprised by the amount of people who want super large families.

If #2 is a girl, I think we'd stop there. If we were to have another boy, I may be open to 3.

Probably 2. My husband would love a big family, but since we can't conceive on our own I don't think it will happen.

Probably just the one, but possibly two. Definitely no more than that, though.

Voted 2, but maybe 3! I think 2 though, because we financially can give them a better life if we have 2.

2-3, we're at 2 right now but we'll need a bigger house for 3 so it all depends what we can afford in a few years.

Just one, it's not finances or playmates that factor into our decision, it's age.

Hopefully 3. We ideally wanted four, but we started a bit later in life (nearly 33 when LO was born) and we also have family spread out across three continents, so trying to buy plane tickets for 6 people is probably not going to go over well. We definitely would like to go for 3 though...

We're planning to stick with the two we have now. We don't want to be outnumbered

I was an only child and, whilst it's pretty cool (you get all the attention, all the Christmas budget etc) I desperately wanted brothers and sisters to play with. I always said I'd have a big family - 3 minimum.
Well... I've left it a bit late for the really big family; we're only just starting trying at 31 and a half! I'd still like 3 but would be happy to stop at 2 if it feels right....

3...but if we end up with 3 girls or 3 boys, we could easily take our chance on the 4th.

We both wanted 2, but after our first, we're not sure if we have it in us for another!

If my body holds up (I'll be almost 32 when LO gets here) we're going to go for four. Women in my family have children later in life easily so I hope that's the case for me.

1 . . . maybe 2. But like @Looch, my limiting factor is age.

@Mrsdaredevil: ditto.
And gender too. If #2 is a boy we'll very likely stop at 2. If not a boy I'll probably want to try for a boy for #3.

We are still undecided and bounce from 1-4! We are not TTC yet, but somedays I think 1 would be perfect. My husband doesn't want one, and I don't want 2!.. So that makes us think 3. We are both from families of 3, so that will likely be where we end up.
We will see how we handle one when we finally get there.. that might be enough!

We are so happy with the two we have. We won't close any doors, but it would be a special circumstance to bring us to 3

2, preferably 1 boy and 1 girl. If we double up, we'd go for a third and final one.

2. Hope for a boy and a girl. If we get two boys- totally going for 3. Two girls- too bad DH lol
