We knew a ton, but we moved and now we barely know anyone! I know two people in our building plus our super, but that's about it right now.
How many neighbors do you know by name?

We have 32 houses in our neighborhood, and know everyone's name and vice versa. Everyone in our neighborhood hangs out together

A zillion! Our 'hood is filled with old people and young families. The old people love the little kids, and the kids all play together. Plus, we have a bazillion friends on the street/in the hood. It's awesome.

3ish. I talk to 3 of our neighbor but can only remember ones name right now. Actually one I though was my daughter's invisible friend, but he is real. (He live in the townhouse at the end of the driveway. She rides her bike down there and I would see her talking. Apparently he was on the other side of the fence.)

We know 5 of the families that live within a few houses of us. Our neighbors are super nice. Our next door neighbor even got us a gift when we had our LO.

We've met about 10 of our neighbors. Pretty good, because we just moved here! There are a ton of houses in our neighborhood. I'm hoping to meet some people with kids LO's age!

@sunny: I was buckling LO into her car seat so your neighbor couldn't really see me but he was like "hey S!" And then when I turned around he was like "sorry I thought you were S!" He seemed like a nice guy

We've lived in our neighbourhood for 2.5 years and know 7 by name. And I've forgotten the names of 6 more. I've got to write them down!!

We know, by name, the neighbors who live either side of us and the guy who lives opposite. We say hello to a few more but we don't know their names.

Currently, I know the neighbors on our floor, the names of our landlord's family who live above us, and I say hi to some of the others but don't know their names. We move at the end of the week though, so I'll have to start over!

We live at an intersection so we know the names of the couples in the 4 homes around us. Actually the previous owner told us the day we moved in which was a huge help!

We know all of the people who live next to, and across from, us but not anyone farther down the street.

Only 2. Our direct next door neighbours on one side. DH also knows the people across the street, but I never talk to them.

We live on a cul-de-sac and we know the first names of the three houses to our left and the first names of the four houses on our right. Then the names of 2-3 other houses up our street.

2 - the neighbors on each side of us. Both are Steve I can't remember the name of the one wife though.
DH talks to some of the other guys in the neighborhood, but I don't think he knows their names. He usually refers to them as "the one who walks the german shepherd" or "the guy from the yellow house".

We know the ones on either side of us, one across the street and one two houses down.
