I usually have at least 8 pacifiers in rotation. I'm always leaving them in random places (car, bed, diaper bag, etc) so it's good to always have a clean one ready to go in the sterilizer.
I also have at least 2 brand new packs, just in case.

We just have 3, one in the carseat, one in the crib and one in the diaper bag. Sawyer only gets a soother for sleep or in the car.

@MsMini: Baby X also only gets the pacifier for sleep or in the car, but we have 4 in the crib (somehow they get thrown out of the crib, or dropped, or what have you and it's nice for him to be able to easily find one at night), and then we have 1 on a clip for the car seat in each of our cars.

We have 6 in rotation. She only uses them when she's sleeping or if we are out somewhere and she starts to have a melt down.

Prob about 4. One in her crib for sleeping, one attached to her at all times, and 2 in my pacifier case on my diaper bag!
