Oh man including sandals I am well over 100, I buy shoes because they always fit no matter how much weight I gain or lose

a lot. i have a shoe rack on the back of our bedroom door that i use just for heels that i don't wear often, aka my date shoes =) it holds 18 pairs and then i have my more frequently worn shoes by the door & on the floor in my closet. i'd guess 35-40 pairs total. i used to have so many more, but i sold/donated a bunch when DH & i were moving in together. in my old place i had a closet just for my shoes, lol.

No way! That's horrible! I'd be so sad and mad if my shoes/bags got ruined!

I'd say I own maybe 25-30 pairs of shoes? But that includes flip flops too. And shoes that are for dressy occassions that I hardly ever wear. I only have like 5 pairs of shoes that I wear often.

I am getting rid of almost all of my shoes...I've been trying them on and they're either not comfortable, too formal/dressy or too dated looking. I know I'll keep some just in case, but I don't want more than 10 in active rotation, allowing for seasonal variation.

I think my perfect shoe wardrobe would have at most 10 pairs. I currently have these and they're getting a ton of wear:
Converse Jack Purcells for daily wear
Mephisto soft air/anatomic sandals for summer
Banana Republic riding style rainboots
Corso Como black and cognac leather riding boots
Corso Como Ballasox foldable flats in a current color/pattern (right now I have the champagne metallic with black captoe)
Cole Haan Air Baraca flats in silver crushed glitter
JCrew canvas and luggage leather espadrilles

I need to add these:
Black leather pump, suitable for dressing up or down
Camel leather pump, suitable for dressing up or down
Evening pump, in either silver or metallic nude

...at least 40 pairs.

I have about 30 including my work shoes that don't leave the office.
