Not counting that stint as a cashier when you were 16 or helping out as a babysitter when you were 12.
I'm thinking positions - so maybe you had 3 positions at one company, 1 at another, etc.

8 in 11 years. Job A out of college in NYC for one year. Then back to where I am now, at that job B for 3.5 years and left before it went belly up. Job C for almost 3 years and got laid off. Then 2 jobs short term that wasn't a good fit. Job D for a year and got laid off. Then a temp job over the summer. And now at my second temp PT but looking for something more permanent....

Five, not counting internships. Actually, I guess it's six because I held two different positions at one company, but I already voted five. Seems like a lot since I'm just six years out of college but I think it's the norm in the media industry to move around a lot.

3. One when I was 20, was laid off a year later. Started my second job, stayed for 12 years until they moved an hour away and now I'm at my third professional job.
I had a few fun part time evening/holiday jobs over the years, too.

I voted 3, but totally forgot about my life pre-gradschool. Including that 4. 3 in my current field.

I voted 5, but forgot one so it's actually 6. And now I am a STAHM so who knows when I'll be a professional again...

More than I thought! I've been with the same company since I graduated college, but I've had 6 roles in 18 years.

6 - I hopped around a lot early on to get higher salaries (the way to do it in my field) and have held a bunch of positions at my current job but only consider 2 major changes.

One?
I am currently a per diem police dispatcher. Does that count? It has been my only non minimum wage job besides nannying. Otherwise I've never had a full time job as I had my first child a month after graduating college.

I was promoted twice at the first job I had after college so that's 3, then I've been at this company now.

I couldn't answer. 0. I had my first child the year after college and have never had a full time position as I've SAH since.

2, and they're both at the same place, and I do both jobs at once. I've been here since before graduating college - 8 years now.

4 in 12 years....5 years, 2 years, 2 years, and now I'm in my 3rd year.

One full time job. 5 if you count summer and part-time jobs during college and grad school (7 if you count things like TA-ing).

Job 1 - I got my 1st job after college - that was for 5 yrs
Then I quit and worked retail so I don't count that job.
Job 2 - I worked for 1 yr
Job 3 - is where I am now for the past 11 yrs. I cant get promoted as its the only job in my field in this office.

3 - junior to start, promoted to senior in the same role, then after mat leave moved to less of a content role to more of an editorial role at the same level with completely different projects.

11 job titles at 3 different companies.
1st company - 3 positions that were each different
2nd company - 7 positions where they were promotions or added responsibility and then my job title changed to reflect the new responsibilities
3rd company - 1 position (been here 1 yr)

2 related to my career. I did have internships but I'm not counting them.

2 jobs in 8 years. Technically both the same position for the same healthcare system, but in different cities.

4 jobs in 10 years. I've had additional promotions/title changes but all within the same role.

Six jobs, in six different industries, not counting odd seasonal/part time/temp work. This is in eleven years since college graduation. That number seems low to me, but there were quite a few short-term and side gigs sprinkled in there, too.

Two in 9 (holy crap it's been 9 years since I graduated college!?!) years. First was for 2.5 years, and current position for 6.5 years. Totally different industries.

6 jobs for 5 different companies, 4 different industries, including my current job. Not including part time, random seasonal, or nannying.
-High end retail sales (first official job other than part time in HS and nannying)
-Law firm receptionist while I was in college
-Cofffee shop/wine bar (2 positions) while I was in college and immediately after
-Communications (grant writing, mainly) for non profit, first job in my desired career field.
-Communications (writing and editing), self employed.

8 jobs for 4 companies in 15 years. The changes were all promotions or company changes for salary increases. I'm a very career focused person and have always prioritized moving forward in my career (not over LO, obviously!).

In that case, 2? I have taught at two different schools but worked at Pizza Hut, Quiznos, Target, an airport, clothing store, Blockbuster, summer camp, Best Buy and I think another I can't remember.
