As for my rank for total comments, I'm at number 21. I went up to spots in that category!

@LivsMama: I think that's why I love this community. I'm TTC, so no kids yet. I don't feel left out here because I don't have kids. I feel like any forum there's always going to be off topic or spinoff questions. I don't see why we can't ask non-baby related questions.

@LivsMama: Sorry to have irritated you. Non Baby Related threads like the ones you mentioned are a good way for community members to get to know each other better. That helps create a sense of community that keeps people around to answer baby related threads.
You may want to use the category pulldown at the top of the boards page? It can let you filter so you only see threads in the categories you're interested in. Here are the main categories:

It sounds like you're not interested in Not Baby Related threads... but I'll include the link here. Hopefully most of the threads you're not interested in are contained here:

@bluestriped bee: no, I totally get that, and Im cool with that. But Im starting to see like 2-3 spinoffs about the same thing, all of which would typically get discussed in a single thread anyways. I go in and read and occasionally comment on some of the non-baby related threads too, but the sheer number of spin-off threads gets to me sometimes

@mrbee: didnt know about those pull-downs, thanks! Also, like I said above, its not that Im not interested. Its jsut when there are 3 spin-off posts about a single thing it gets to me. Probably my type A keep everything streamlined personality =o) Ive been her esince beta and was at WB loooong before that, so its really not a huge deal

@LivsMama: Understood. I am pretty sure that the people who wrote those posts were able to figure out who you were referring to as well.
We all have our individual preferences, and I respect that. As the site gets busier, I'm confident there will be more and more baby-focused threads. In the meantime, you will probably be happiest using the category pulldowns for now.

Only 14! I would have started more but I honestly got a little scared off of making a thread about important topics to me after the nanny brouhaha 
I did get a lot of support in a thread I posted after that about my mother in law so maybe I should start threads more. This is actually a nice reminder.
