I only had 2! Both of them on my left side. Funny thing happened today, my little sister went to the dentist and they told her that she needs her wisdom teeth out, and she also only has 2 but they are on her right side! It's like we shared wisdom teeth!

I had 4 and got them all pulled out when I had my TMJ surgery a few years back due to locked jaw. Dentists normally suggest you remove them ASAP, but my dental hygenist told my hubby (who still has all 4) that if they don't bother him and the x-rays didn't reveal crowding of teeth, that there is nothing wrong with keeping them!

I have 4. All are impacted. But none are moving or causing any problems, so I haven't had them removed yet.

@Alivoo01: Yea we thought it was really neat! My brother and sister are twins, and my brother doesn't have any!! My sister and I were the only lucky ones.
I'm envious of all of you that don't need them out!

I had 4 and naturally they had to all be growing in sidways toward my other teeth.... I had to get them all surgically removed a couple years ago, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

I'm 27 years old and yet to have a wisdom tooth poke through. My last X-Ray they thought they saw 2 on the top starting to show but they couldn't be sure. I have been very lucky up until this point!

That's so weird about your sister's and your wisdom teeth! I had four and they were impacted and coming in crooked. I had to have them all ripped out when I was in college, it was really messy for a week! I barely remember anything, I had really good painkillers.

I had all four but they were impacted and had to come out when I was about 22. My bro also has all four but so far they aren't causing any issues so he'll probably have them forever.

I had 4. They were all impacted, and they were removed when I was 16. It was pretty young to have wisdom teeth out, but in retrospect I think it was great b/c I was a minor so my parents paid for the surgery, and they took care of me while I healed up.

I have 4. I've removed 2. 2 are impacted and will probably stay "underground" forever.

I had three. Two were taken out. I chose to keep the third one because it's close to a nerve and if they nick it, I could have a paralysed jaw line (or something like that).

I'm almost 23 and they still haven't come through (not complaining at all!). I have a dentist appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if any are closer than the last time.

I have 3. One is impacted and the other two are straight. No problems yet so I haven't gotten them out yet. I have had a few issues with biting the inside of my cheek so they will probably have to come out at some point. Gonna wait as long as possible because I'm terrified of the recovery!!!

I had four that were taken out when I was 18 I think? I woke up during the procedure! Haha ... I didn't feel anything though. Some funny things happened - like I headbutted the wall when I insisted to go to the bathroom by myself all drugged up afterwards... Just some comic relief for everyone lol

I had 2 on top, removed at 20. My mouth was crowded, but my teeth came in so slowly, they didn't have time to get impacted (my 12 year molars had just completely broken through on the top. I baffled my dentists.)

I only had 2, both on my right side! One was impacted and removed when I was 17. The other came in straight, but my mouth is small and it ended up hitting a nerve or something and causing tmj. I had it removed a few years ago to relieve my jaw.
