I have three younger brothers and a younger sister. I'm closest to my sister. She's 7 years younger than me.

I'm close to both siblings but in different ways. My sister is 4 years older, and we talk more often (probably once a week or once every other week) but that's because she lives in a different state so we try to stay in contact more because we don't see each other often. I do 'clash' more with her because she is soooooo different than me. But I do still consider us 'close'.
My brother is 1 year younger than me and we don't talk as often but when we do see each other/talk we get along really well because we have very similar views/opinions on most things. Our sense of humors are also very similar.

I am 11 years older that my younger sister... my mom had 5 MCs, so she was a surprise/blessing!

I think I was confused... I read closest to as, in age, whereas I think you mean who are you the most close with.
I'm just under 2 years from my one sister, about 19 months but we're 2 years apart in school so I say 2 years apart. My other sister is just over 5 years younger. I think that I'm equally close with them now, in different ways. I think they were closer when I was older. I went through phases with both of them.
I wonder if girls are closer with sisters, as opposed to brothers? I never had a brother so I have no idea

My closest brother is 4 years older than me, and the other two are 7 years older than me. I'm not close with any of them.
I also have a stepsister who is a year and a few weeks younger than me. We sometimes get along, but she's not really speaking to me at the moment.

I only have one sibling and we are 3 years apart. We were really close growing up, hardly ever fought and did everything together. We are still close now to a certain extent, though are in very different places in our lives so don't have a huge amount in common anymore,

I have 4 siblings. The closest in age is 18 months younger than I am. We are close. Probably my closest (relationship-wise) sibling is my sister who is 3 years younger. Its a personality thing in that we are more alike. My older sister is 3 years older than I am and we get along but aren't that *close*. My brother is the youngest at 7 years younger and I'm not close to him at all.

7 years and 9 years. Both older, Im the baby. I would say that me and my middle brother have a decent relationship but I hardly know my oldest brother. He left for college when I was 8.

Closest sibling is a year and 6 days apart.
ETA: Oh, I see that you are talking about relationship close not age close.
I'm closer to my oldest sister and she is 8 years older than me. My other two siblings are a year apart (above) and 2 years and 5 months apart. My older sister is like a second mother to me and my other siblings. I think everyone talks to her and then I get updates. We all text each other but I primarily only talk to my older sister. The other part is my siblings closer in age to me have a family or is pregnant so they can relate to my older sister who has grown kids.

I have a brother who is 2 years older but we aren't very close. I have a sister who is 4 years younger and a sister who is 9 years younger. We're all besties. I voted the 9 year younger one as we might be slightly closer than my other sister, but that's only as I had to pick

I just have one brother who is 7 years younger than me. He has autism, so we have a special relationship. I absolutely adored him growing up and have always been super protective of him.

I'm not really close to either of my sisters, but I guess I am "closer" to the one closer in age to me. My other sister is 7 years younger than me so it's been hard to relate.

5 years from my closest sibling. I am the youngest of six kids. The distance between my oldest sibling and myself is 9 years.
I was very close to my sister (5 years older than me) from highschool to my early 20s. We're not that close now, but age has nothing to do with it.

@kjpugs: I only have a brother, so I can't say for sure, but I'm actually really close to my brother. He considers me his best friend. We try to get together a couple times a month just to hang out and we have a TON in common. Not sure how it would be if there was another brother or another sister in the mix!

My older sis is 2.5 years older.
Then I have a younger bro who is 4 years younger and another who is 6 years younger.

I'm the middle child. My brother is almost 3 years older than me ... we were super close until he hit high school, then he never talked to me ;). We started talking again when I was in college and we get along super well but we're not really close.
My sister is 5 years younger than me and it's almost the opposite with her. We were not close at all growing up. We shared a room so I do remember a few late nights talking, but during the day we specialized in pushing each other's buttons. By late high school, however, I think I started to empathize with her a little more. By the time I left for college she was my little buddy and by the time she graduated high school - one of my best friends. Today I often forget there are five years between us. We're incredibly close and share everything. It's kind of odd how things work out!
DH and his brother are 3 years apart (he's older) and they are super close now, but didn't get a long until they were both in their twenties.

17 months and we are close! Funny because my children are 17 months and I love it!

I'm 9 years younger than my middle sister and 13 younger than my oldest sister. We are all extrememly close, although we became closer once I was in high school.

Sister #1 is less than a year younger than me (we are the same age for 16 days each year!). And the other is 4 years younger.
Growing up, I did everything with Sister #1. We rarely fought. We were so much alike.
But Sister #2 was so very different from us, personality-wise, that we weren't as close. We just couldn't understand her (she was a complete hellion). Those two fought all the time, and I tried to keep the peace. Mom always made me sit in the middle in the car to keep them apart.
Now, even though I have more in common with Sister #1, I'm actually closer to Sister #2 because she is a better communicator. Since I live so far away, communication skills make a bigger difference. Sister #1 enjoys doing things together but doesn't like to talk on the phone.

Only one sibling, and we're 3.5 years apart. We are suuuuper close, even though we are SO different. We grew up sharing a room, and I really think that's what cultivated our close relationship.

4 sisters with the two closest being 9 years older and younger. I'm not particularly close to any of my sisters. We have a lot of family drama, but most of it has been resolved since we have started having kids and share that in common.

One brother, 4 years younger. We're not really close at all, and haven't really ever been. We just have very different ways of viewing the world. However, he's pretty friendly with my husband, they have a lot in common.
