@Foodnerd81: I live in Canada, so don't have a local Target (well, actually, I do, but it just opened today!). So far as I understand though, this glider is only available via the website.

@mediagirl: We have this exact one also. I didn't want to spend a lot and it's served us well for the first year. To the OP- just be aware that there is sometimes a long wait time for a lot of the custom orders. When we got ours from BRU, they told us between 16-20 weeks and we were floored. Just something to keep in mind- I had no idea the waits were that long.

@dookie32: Yeah, I've heard that... I'm hoping not to have to do a custom one but who knows. We really don't want to or have time to get anything before we move at the end of this month, then I think it's going to be go time on figuring out the nursery!

We haven't bought one (yet??), but there's a really nice one that reclines at Babies R Us that's only $299. Its all upholstered, like some of the pricier ones, and super comfy.
Might be worth checking out!

I bought a simple old school rocking chair from Goodwill for $25, and I still use it today with my 23 month old. He loves climbing in and rocking too.

I would have loved a fancy rocker, but we have nowhere to put it after our LOs outgrew it, so we opted for a cheapo glider/ottoman. It was on sale for $199 down from $299.

@mrskc: Oooo, I like that one too. Is the seat deep enough? Can you rest your head comfortably?

About $600 with tax and delivery for our glider/ottoman. Worth it - it's sooooo comfy. It's the Kamilla from best chairs (bought at BBB) in navy with white piping.

Ours was free! DH was given it when he worked for a baby furniture store due to a minor flaw in the wood staining. He intended to give it to his sister a few years ago but she never used it so it happily became ours. Honestly I rarely used it!

I got mine from kijiji for $100. I love it, so comfy to sit in. If I hadn't found a good quality used one then I probably wouldn't have gotten one at all.

@Mrs. Yoyo: the seat is nice and deep and I can rest my head and I'm 5'9". I would say its a little narrow, but we needed something not too wide since our nursery is tiny.

@mrsjyw...Love your glider! If we had to do it over again, I would have gone a little more "high end" now that I know how much I really use it (which is every day).

@ladyfingers: that is beautiful!!!
@anbanan15: so funny how different everyone is. For me my glider is a necessity! I use it daily! Sitting in it right now

@hergreenapples: omg what a gorgeous chair! I love that! Amazing price! I'll keep that in the back of my mind if we get another one for the second baby.

I want a glider that's also a recliner (I don't like ottomans that much in the comfort department--ours now gives me a backache when I use it for a long time), that also isn' t the overstuffed, poofy variety.
Yeah...I want it all. Sadly, I can't seem to find any that will be under $1000 in a style I like. Boo!

@mrsjyw: Is that from Buy Buy Baby, with coupons? In store only, right? They have hardly any on their website...

@Anagram: Have you looked at Target? After someone one her posted about her Little Castle Charleston glider, I was looking there and surprised by how nice some looked (but haven't sat in any). BUT, the reclining gliders do tend to be more of the overstuffed variety.

@Foodnerd81: in store! Thei website blows. We used a 20% + $100 off $500 coupon!

@mrsjyw: OOH- I didn't know they would combine those! Good to know!

@Foodnerd81: i think they don't usually, but we pushed for it and they did it for us! PUSH HARD ON THEM TO TAKE BOTH!

@mrsjyw: Haha-- I totally will. I'm nice about it, but I'll just stand there trying to prove my point until they give in (this recently saved us $130 on a hotel stay
