Like art prints, decals, etc...
I found these suppppper cute Trafalgar's Square prints & decal on Etsy and the total plus shipping is $74! It seems a little crazy (for me) to spend that much on just 3 art prints & 1 decal.

Between art prints, wall shelves for books (that i consider "decor"), and misc. items, i definitely spent over $100

Between art prints (some I bought), a canvas (that I made), frames and accessories, I definitely spend over $100.

I said less than $50 because there was very little in our nursery that wasnt also functional. I decorated with fabrics and lamps and storage....so all we really have that was just decoration were a couple handmade items for the walls and some thrift store frames that i spray painted. $74 seems like a lot to me, but if you love them you could maybe go lower budget in another area so that you could make it work.

Well over $200. But I did a gallery wall above the diaper changer. So that's like 5 separate prints, plus frames. And then I have other prints sprinkled around the room, and $75 just on decals. Shelves, and little decorations too!
ETA: We were on a tight budget but were able to save A LOT in other ways so that we could splurge a little (for us) with decorations.

DD1s nursery was entirely DIY or vintage.
I made her mobile out of tissue, made a garland from fabric scraps, bought a mirror at a thrift store and painted it, and put up some vintage prints from an antique store. All in all, I would say $60 for ALL of the decor in her room, and that's only because one of the larger vintage prints was $30.
DD2 just has two things up in her nursery. A vintage map that I got for $25 at a flea market and a garland that was gifted to us. I am working on more decor for her room, and plan to spend another $40 or so.

I bought Tralfagar prints! They are so cute. I don't remember them being that much though. But those and a decal alphabet were the only decorating I bought, so maybe I decided it was worth it.

@Littlebit: I know, all those little things add up so quickly!!
@Mrs. Lion: That's what I'm trying to justify in my mind... We are not doing fancy furniture at all, and we have some things on the registry that hopppeefully someone wil buy, annnd all this will be for #2 as well
@locavore_mama: That's what I always thought!! And then I come across something super cute and I am now obsessed. I think I am nesting (my excuse to DH, lol)

@Grace: Right now an 8.5x11 is like $20 from their Esty store! They are on Zuilily right now for half off. Where did you buy them?!

over $100. By the time I bought numerous prints, frames, shelves, piggy bank, lamp, etc.

Over $100. Decal, prints, frames...it all added up quickly!

over 100 for sure...I went way overboard and it just all added up so fast!

I spent around $40 for DD1 (DIY bow holder, spray painted a cheap mirror, painted some canvases and hot glued fabric flowers and then a $5 etsy print). It doesn't look complete though.
But I spent over $100 on DD2's nursery. A $40 frame, another $15 for a frame, $5 print, $60 for a PBK sign and $60 for a mirror. I like how it turned out though.

I spend money for 4 canvases and a few tubes of paint. We did an alphabet mural over the crib and 4 small canvases of sleeping animals on the opposite wall. That's it for decor.

$12 for some Moon/Stars mirrors and my friend gave her some wall decals and that's all for decor! Everything else is functional

Over 100, her name alone I had painted was 70 ($10 per letter.) I also had wall decal, shelves, frames, artwork, ect.

We reused items I already had (wall shelves, mirrors), and bought some extra frames and other misc items for $10. The biggest project was gifted from our incredibly talented close friend who hand painted a huge wall mural for us. I'll always be indebted to her!

@snowjewelz: From Etsy, but it was last year. But $10 a print sounds like a good deal! That decal must be pricey!

The decals alone were well over $100, I went a little overboard but I really love how it turned out.

I guess it depends on how you define decor...like, I probably could have spent less on stuff like the lamp, nightlight, curtains, etc., but I wanted cute ones that matched! But if you're talking stuff that strictly has no other purpose, probably between $50-$100. Unless you count paint...I bought way too many shades of paint for the design I did on his accent wall.

@snowjewelz: I got Trafalgar's Square prints for LO1. I bought them off Zulily, but they were packaged terribly and got bent so I got a full refund plus $10 credit. 3 of them were salvageable with books on top of them for a few weeks and the big one was ruined - I only ended up using one in the room and saved the others for LO2.

I made an alphabet canvas, bought wall decals, and bought frames and three etsy prints. I think I spent about $80 total for those things.

@snowjewelz: I *love* those illustrations. I got a similar style. Look for Loxly Hollow. She runs sales every so often. I caught a good one and got 50% off.
I think I spent around $75 on frames and 3 prints.

@Grace: I did it.. They are too cute!
@Radish: I just got them on Zulily too! Good to know they will refund if they are messed up!
@sunny: Oo I will... Great now I will be even more obsessed!

We bought decals, personalized growth chart, cute lamp, etc... I think we probably spent a little over $100.

I voted less than $50, but it was really closer to $100 when you count frames and such. I shopped the house for some of it, and then I had a collection of embroidery hoops that I put fabric in to hang.

If we're just talking art, prints, etc....nothing. I made them all myself.

We didn't spend anything on decor. Everything he has decorating his room was either something we already owned, or gifted to us (some antiques, some new).
