We're going for a budget birthday party - however in our area it will be viewed as "extravagant" because people generally only do a small family gathering for birthdays.
We are going to splurge for a photographer so that will add anywhere from $200-$400 to the budget
Other than that - we're aiming to keep the rest under $500. The location is only $125 so I think it's manageable!

Too much! Around $1800! Had it at a nice restaurant. Ordered a special cake, spent a good amount on favors..

I didn't add it all up, but not a lot at all. I really only spent money on food, which I made myself. It was at my house, and I did all diy decorations with mostly things I already owned. I also had to buy things like paper plates and cups.... but I got those at the dollar store. Adult favors were homemade cookies and kid favors were after Easter sale finds so they were cheap.
I'm very thrifty.

Not a whole lot, maybe $250 not including her gift. I know I paid $70 for the cake, $20 for the helium tank, about $50 on decorations and the rest was spent on food that I ended up not even making

We put aside cash for months and whatever we had the week before the party I allowed to be in our budget. I think it ended up being just under $1k. But we had it at a restaurant and I ordered a pretty expensive cake.

OMG, I can't imagine spending $1K or over on a birthday party. DH would tell me I lost my mind if I suggested that.

Haven't set a budget yet but I'm thinking under $300-400?
I'll likely DIY everything including her bday and smash cake. I want to DIY her invites as well. Not sure yet if we will cook (if we do BBQ) or cater. Maybe a mix, when we cook we never enjoy the party and I want to enjoy her birthday!!!

I think we only spent $300! We only had a small cake for DS, we went to a nice zoo, we spent about $60 on decorations, balloons and cake were about $50, $200 on presents...we did do a first birthday photo shoot which was really pricey ($300 + $600 prints) but that was a week after his actual birthday.
