I'm planning LO's 1st birthday party right now, and it looks like we're gonna spend around $1,500 for everything. It's more than we planned on spending, so I'm trying to see what we can cut back on or DIY to save on costs.

We havent talked budget yet. I'd like to keep it between $500-1000, cheaper is always better.

Less than $100 but it was a family party for 12 people. Dominos pizza (coupons), cake from the grocery store and dollar store decor. I'm going all out next year!

Less than $100, we went out to brunch and did homemade cupcakes afterwards. Decorated with balloons and streamers.
That includes our gift to him- the Fisher Price Zoo... on sale at Wal-mart, was supposed to be $40, we got charged $19.50!!! Got very lucky!

I don't remember.... but not that much. I DIYed most of it with things I already had around the house. All I had to buy was food (brunch for 25 people that I made myself) and the cake. And I bought favors for kids but I got those on sale.

Around $1800. Had dinner for 18 adults and 4 kids at a nice restaurant, DIY decorations, custom cake and favors.
