Just curious!
DH and I are only planning on two LOs so I didn't want to buy too much. I have some hand-me-downs from my sister (really casual summertime stuff) and my mom bought me some sweaters. So far, I have bought two pairs of jeans, a few shirts and a dress for about $150 which means I wear a lot of the same stuff over and over.
Anyway, what did/ have you spent on maternity wear?

I got some hand me down from friends. I picked up some looser shirts at Target a few days ago.
Oh, I also bought some pregnancy jeans from babysteals.com.I'm hoping to go to some consignment shops to pick up some affordable clothes. My coworker suggested it.
I think I've spent about $60 so far.

I'm weird but I didn't actually buy any maternity clothes. I had a few hand me downs but mostly I wore leggings and dresses with open cardigans and yoga pants at home

I had a HUGE box given to me by my best friend, she gave it to her sister and then me
They both added to it so did I so it will sit in my closet until the next one has #2 hopefully them first not me....lol

Less than $100. I had one pair of maternity shorts and one shirt. Then I basically wear/wore maxi dresses or skirts or palazzo pants. LO1 was born in September of 2013 and LO2 is due next week And I've made it without much/any maternity wear both times.

Over my two pregnancies probably $500? Mostly because when I was working I bought 2 pairs of designer maternity jeans (I worked at an ad agency) and one pair of nice black skinnies. Those were the most expensive things. Everything else I bought cheap from target or old navy!
I did not have hand me downs from anyone. Oh, and now I'm preggo in the opposite season (spring/summer vs fall/winter) so I haven't been able to re-wear THAT much...

You guys are so good, I definitely spent several hundred dollars, maybe $400. I changed sizes several times, so I went from XS to S to M size maternity stuff and kept having to buy new things (mostly jeans, leggings, and t-shirts). Some of the stuff I bought was normal clothes (like cardigans and empire waist dresses) that I can wear now though, so not sure if that counts. I didn't have any hand me downs from anyone.

I spent a lot, over $500, but I have a long torso and realized maternity wear without gathering is just x-tall. So over 1/2 is staying in regular rotation. I splurged on paige maternity jeans-worth every penny.

I've had a couple of occasions that required dressier clothes, so I spent more on those. But I usually shop at Goodwill/thrift stores, so even though I actually have a lot of maternity clothes (assuming I also count non-maternity that I'm stretching out so that it won't be wearable not pregnant), I haven't spent a ton. DH does enjoy buying me maternity clothes though (not sure why?), so I've got more new items than I would have expected. I think by the end, with this being basically my second pregnancy, I'll have spent no more than $500, probably quite a bit less.

Over two pregnancies probably around 400$?
Most I spent was on a pair of nice jeans. And I did shop for nonmAternity items in larger sizes that were outside of that amount.

Not too much- less than $200 I'm sure. I rotated the same bottoms (3 leggings, I pair of pants) and 2 everyday dresses, about 5 tops and 2 special occasion dresses purchased second hand. The rest of my wardrobe was made up of non-maternity that still worked- open sweaters, long tanks and shirts, wrap dresses etc.

I manage an anthropologie, and a lot of our stuff worked throughout my pregnancy, so probably around $500 - but only ~$100 of that on several consigned pea in the pod maternity jeans.

I have to dress up for work, so if I had to guess, I probably spent $1k on this pregnancy, and that's if I'm just counting clothes, not things like TB flats that I bought just bc I figured I wouldn't be wearing heels very often and I still needed dressier shoes. Purchases like the Jcrew Pixie pants in multiple colors and Jbrand skinnies upped my total price tag quick...And I bought a few blouses for work from APITP and those run $80 each easy, so it adds up quick when you have to buy things that are dressier...I would have spent WAY less if I was a SAH or if I WFH.

I was given a lot of hand me downs but I still did some shopping for variety & fit. I probably spent $300 over two pregnancies for jeans, some work tops, a dress to wear to a wedding, and some seasonal stuff.

Over the course of two pregnancies, probably $500? $700? Dress pants and dressier clothes for my newer position plus jeans that wore out after one pregnancy plus stuff like bigger underwear and bras. $50 here and there adds up and it's not even like I bought super nice stuff! Gap shirts and stuff like that

I've spent at least $500 so far, mainly ordering from Old Navy (expensive shipping!) and buying a few pairs of jeans from Jeans West. I will probably end up spending a fair bit more at the end of the pregnancy as it will be summer, and I still want to buy a maternity down jacket for winter

I'm guessing about $400 so far with both pregnancies. I got away with very little maternity specific clothes the first time around. I must have been a lot smaller/carried differently. This time around I started having to buy some maternity pieces and replenish a couple of staples early on, and pregnant in completely opposite seasons. I'm not even halfway yet though, so I'm sure I'll spend a bit more. Like others said, most "splurge" items a couple of pairs of nice jeans/Jean shorts.

I think around $300? I need to wear business/business casual for work (not suits, thank goodness). I managed with two pairs of black pants from Target and just rotated through about 8 different maternity tops. I bought everything at Target or Gap Clearance, so that helped a lot.
I did buy two dresses from Motherhood Maternity for baby showers and spring events. -
@simplyfelicity: $120 so far - one pair of jeans, one work skirt, one pair of black work pants, and one pair of leggings. I have only worn the leggings so far but am looking forward to wearing the rest!!! I am going to try to really limit what I buy since we only want one LO!

I should also add that I have a pretty casual job (teaching) and can "get away with" jeans and a nice-ish top.

Over two pregnancies I would guess around $500-$750. I needed work and casual clothes and stuff for both summer and winter since they were in different seasons.

An obscene amount my first pregnancy, because I felt super beautiful and loved loved loved the way I looked. Flash forward to this pregnancy, and most of that stuff is a little too big, because I've lost weight. Also, I feel way less glorious and glowing this time, so I've spent way less money on clothing. About $200 so far on a few pairs of leggings, a few pairs of jeans, a nice winter coat, a few shirts, and a couple of pairs of shorts. I'll spend a little more on maternity shirts to have a good number in rotation, but that's it.

I am amazed so many of you could wear your regular clothes! I have some tops I can wear but everything else is too fitted.

@simplyfelicity: I think it makes a big difference if you have to buy a winter coat - mine was $50, and it was an inexpensive one from H&M. If I'd been more pregnant then, or if I'd lived in a colder place, it would have been an even bigger purchase.

@simplyfelicity: I couldn't wear pre-pregnancy clothes past like 8 weeks of pregnancy, because most of my clothes are pretty fitted. Heck, I couldn't really use a belly band past 12 weeks because it just didn't work - but my cousin never had to get maternity jeans so you just never know! It's a crazy spectrum.
I spent over $1k....well, I personally spent a couple hundred and my MIL bought the rest. I needed to buy suit pieces and professional work clothes and I was fully in maternity clothes by 12-14 weeks, and some of the cheaper stuff I bought had to be replaced, upping the total $ spent. I needed to buy professional for work, and then casual for home/weekends. I also went from an A cup to a DD, so I needed to buy all new bras (...several times
).

I'm guessing around 300 total for 2 pregnancies. I bought 3 pairs of maternity pants and everything else was just normal clothes but in bigger sizes (tops and knit/stretchy dresses).

@simplyfelicity: I'm amazed by people who could wear normal clothes too. I definitely couldn't. The belly band sucked and I was in maternity by the end of the 1st trimester.

Not very much. Maybe $300 and I'm on my third pregnancy. I get away with lots of flowy non maternity tops.

Probably about 700 between these two pregnancies. I needed both work clothes for winter/ spring and then casual summer clothes. And no way could I wear my regular clothes!!

I can still wear a lot of my long work out tanks at 27 weeks, but they're starting to look a little silly. By 30 weeks I'll probably need all maternity tops anyway, so I figured there was no good reason to wait.

Most were hand me downs and I spent maybe another $50? Hopefully I will still be able to use them for #2! Right now they're all on loan to my newly pregnant friend.. I hope I get them back haha!

I hardly spent a thing, I was given hand me down and got one nice pair of jeans, a few t shirts on sale at target, and yoga pants. Someone gifted me a sweater and a warm maternity coat.
It would be super fun to spend some more!

Definitely a lot. My first pregnancy, I was mainly pregnant in colder seasons, and this time, I'm the exact opposite so I had to buy more summery things.
I do WOH though, so I can't get by on just a few things. A lot of my tops I do wear outside of pregnancy though.
