How much is a wash, cut & blow dry at your salon?
I'm forever in search and am thinking of trying this new place near work. But the stylist I keep finding great reviews of is a "master stylist" and is upwards of $46!!!

I'd be happy if I got something under £40 for a junior stylist. A master stylist or salon owner could cost up to £70!

Depends on where I go. The place that is my splurge (I'm cheap...) is 27$ for a cut & style I have a gift card to a real fancy salon that charges upwards of 50$ for a cut & style, which is very much out of my price point of I didn't have the g/c!

@Bookworm: haha last two years I've been going to a salon academy that is $10 for a haircut. But if I ever find one that I really like I'll be willing to pay.

Well, if I paid for my hair cuts/colours I'd be paying around $400. Thankfully, my girl is a very good family friend! FREEEE.

$65 in NYC (without tip). I love my girl. I usually sit in the chair and tell her to do whatever she wants.

@regberadaisy: Nice!! We have a couple schools in town, I really need to check them out.. I think theirs are like 10$ ish as well!

@bunnylove08: See, if I found someone like that I'll pay $46!
I think I'm going to bite the bullet but I'll be extremely pissed if I'm not happy with my cut!

It depends on the skill level of the stylist and how long your hair is. For long hair, average starting price is between $40-$60! (>_<)

I pay $60 (plus tip). And get it cut every 3/4 months. I used to pay $85 at my splurge salon but couldn't justify the price when I would only get 2-3 inches cut off!

$20. I've been going to the same lady for over 10 years and she gives me a good deal.

I think it's usually $35 for a haircut for me, but I usually get my hair colored at the same time so I could be off. Usually it's around $100 for both. I'm pretty low maintenance and only started getting my hair colored, so that seems like a lot to me! I've been going every 8 weeks, and I used to get my hair cut like twice a year. Being a professional grown up is hard!

I think it is $55. That reminds me I really need to make an appointment for a cut.

I have been going to see a junior stylist at a salon in town & she charges $25. I am honestly not in love with how she cuts it, but it is cheap enough and I'm moving in a few months anyways.

I got my hair cut last weekend and I paid $40 plus tip. I think I usually pay anywhere from $30-40 plus tip.

$90 plus $20 tip for basic cut and dry. My hair is super long though. I think the regular charge at my salon is $60.

anywhere around 20-60$. i haven't gone to the same place twice in a while -- if i found somewhere i REALLY liked and loved the haircut, i'd be willing to pay the big bucks! hehehe.

I am so cheap with my hair. I won't pay more than 20, and that's including tip. /:

I used to pay $90 plus tip for a wash, cut, color, and style. Now I feel guilty spending that and go to the same place as DH - a family friend who has cut his hair since he was a baby. I only get it cut now, and it costs $10.

Usually around $60 for a wash, cut and style. I hate paying that much, but I keep finding that I get what I pay for in terms of hair cuts and hate my hair when I go cheap. I only cut my hair every 6 months or so.

$40 (without tip), I have long hair and bangs. I only get my hair cut 4-5 times a year and my stylist does free bang trims. She has her own studio space, and I really like her. It is relaxing, close to my work, and she fits me in during lunch breaks - so I am willing to pay.

$65 plus tip for a cut and blowdry (and I have a simple cut). That's cheap for Boston.

i think $46 is a great price, but i guess it depends on the area--still, you should go and treat yourself!

Not sure but I'm pretty sure it's over $35. I get color too, that's why I have no idea just on a cut

$30 plus tip. It's so hard to find a stylist who is good with curly hair. I've been going to my stylist for a year now.

$110+tip for a cut and colour and she is worth every penny. I'm currently a very happy 'bottle' red head!
bananas / 9229 posts
$65 - $85. I try to go when she's the featured stylist because it's 25% off then. I can't justify the higher end on top of how much my highlights are!
