I'm trying to get a feel for what is a normal amount. How much do you pay for Internet in your home?

I think we pay about $47--with 7-10 of that being to rent/use a router/modem (no clue which it is...).

Ugh. Stupid internet... We got in at $20/month for a year, and are now paying $40... :'(

About the same as @ms.janedoe: ...I think it's $45.99 a month? There's a lower-tier option for $25.99 a month, I think, but we don't have cable and we use our internet to stream things, so we went for the second-tier option.

I don't know how much our internet alone costs. For internet + cable (basic cable with normal stations but no premium stations and 1 dvr box) = $95/mo.

We pay $55. But DH is a gamer and likes the faster internet so we went with a more expensive option. Plus we can usually run a lot of things at once and not have a drop in speed i.e. both phones on wireless, ipad, desktop and a laptop.

$25 due to promotional credits. I signed up with a no agreement plan so when the credits expire I'll resign up for deals.
Without it it's $45/month.

£30/$47 for home phone and fibre internet.
@Arden: We had perfectly decent broadband through ATT in college and I think we only paid like $20 a month.

I think ours is about $60. I could look it up, but I don't even want to know.

@Arden: if you're worried about having a set amount each month and a contract that you're stuck with, we have a mobile hotspot from virgin mobile. it's like one of those prepaid cell phones. there are different amounts of data you can buy and the 4G data is unlimited on most of the plans if you're in an area with 4G. but it means we can bring it anywhere with us and we aren't stuck with a contract. BUT, when it runs out, it runs out, there's a finite amount of data you get if you're on the 3G. we stream netflix with it and don't have any problems streaming and using the laptop at the same time. we don't use our cell phones on it because we have unlimited data on our phones (also if you have unlimited data on your iphone, you can get a cable to connect your iphone to stream netflix to your TV, it doesn't look as great, but we did that for a long time when we had no internet!)

I use wifi off my phone and my entire phone bill for unlimited calling, text and data for about $75 a month.

Oh American prices, I miss thee! I love Australia, but man oh man is the cost of living high here! Fortunately, salaries compensate accordingly but still!
We pay $112 per month for just internet (and a landline as apparently it's needed for ADSL but any calls we make are charged extra).

$90 for basic cable and high speed internet. We used to pay $170 for internet and premium cable with HBO. Ugh.
