Hmm..I'll have to ask DH when he comes home. I know it comes directly out of his paycheck, though, so I'm not sure he even knows off the top of his head. Our ER co-pay is $100, doctor is $20 and prescription varies. However, those are "in-network" providers. I believe if you go outside network it shoots up.

I do know that DH just got the paperwork (I'm a little anal) for me to fill out in September to add LO to our insurance when she's born. Then we'll jump from "subscriber + 1" to "family" which includes myself and DH, and up to 5 children. So the price shouldn't change much no matter how many children we add to it in the future years.

I think it'll cost us about $40/week more. Or maybe month? I honestly can't remember! *blush*

ETA - maternity is covered under the insurance, but dental is not. that's separate - but super cheap.

@mrs. bird: Yah I am self-employed so I eat the cost myself. We cover full health insurance for employees though.

I pay just shy of $600/month for the insurance on our family of three. This is payroll deducted before tax. And yes, it is crappy insurance - high deductible health plan with a family deductible of $8,000. After the deductible the coinsurance pays 80%.

like @lydg, i am also on a high deductible plan (with Aetna), so i pay $0 out of paycheck. we also get a significant employer contribution to a Health Savings Account, so we actually start out in the green.

@mrs. bird: we would LOVE to move to MA. It's not too far that I'd be away from my parents (we all live in northern RI) and I have family in MA too - some in the Blackstone area and some near Stonehill College!

we pay $175/month on a $5000 deductible plus HSA plan. we're not excited about the high deductible, but what can you do...

eta: small co-pay for doctor's visits and prescription. we pay 10% after $2500 each.

@oliviaoblivia: what?! $900 for one person? that's outrageous. my husband and I pay less than $200 for two people.

Our individual was about $350 for the 3 of us (didn't have maternity coverage). Now we have group ins and pay about $650.

I don't know I would need to check when I'm at work.

@bird I'm in Texas. I work for a "small" employer according to insurance group standards. We have some sickly people (think cancer, disabilities, etc) that are on the plan. The higher the claims are the higher the premiums go each year. The insurance company has to make $ somehow. We'll be changing to DH's insurance in a few months which is about the same price, but significantly better coverage.

@mrs. bird: yeah, I love our plan. In CA insurance companies have to offer it, but the company doesn't have to buy it. Luckily ours does. Although I think we are almost maxed out from all the tests and two IUIs we did. But at least we know what worked so when we try for number two we know where to start and it shouldn't cost as much.

I get insurance through my work that covers both of us (since DH is self-employed). For the two of us it'll cost $262/month for medical alone (dental is separate) when the new plan year starts. When we switch to a family plan (hopefully :3) it'll be $331/month. That's for the premium plan, which gives us better coverage in case of an emergency. Right now our individual deductibles are $200/each, with an out of pocket maximum of $600 each excluding deductible. I THINK this means that as long as I don't straddle plan years, it'll cost me $800 out of pocket for maternity. Copays are $25 for a regular visit and $35 for a specialist.

Dollars go up significantly for "Non Preferred Care"...whatever that is! I think maybe out of network?

I think mine is about $200/month for hubs and I. It'll go up to $280/month when we add LO. I think. It's taken right out of my paycheck so I don't really remember of the top of my head. Our plan is pretty good, but I don't know exactly how much my L&D costs will be. I know I looked at it during open enrollment to make sure I wanted to stick with my current plan and was happy with it, so...

I pay $117.11 twice a month for me and the hubby. Our office co-pay is $20. I don't know what the insurance covers in regards to pregnancy and delivery though.

We get insurance through DH for about $80/month fir our family. That includes dental and vision. We are blessed. $10 sick visit copay, $50 ER visit, and $10 prescriptions. All labs/imagings are paid for. Prenatal, physicals, and well child visits are included. I didn't have to pay a dime for labor and delivery. Having DH's insurance allows me the flexibility to work part time and change jobs/positions (3 times since I graduated/got married!)

$70 something, 2x a month for DH, LO and I deducted from my paycheck. I have a 1000 annual out of pocket max per individual or $1500 for the family. Until we reach the cap, we have $15 co pays (no copay for prenatal visits, physicals or well visits), 10% for Lab and Diagnostics testing, and a $500 hospital admittance co pay.

I think mine is roughly 80 per paycheck for DH and I, but then I have to pay a "penalty" fee to have DH on it because he works full time and his employer offers insurance, but mine is a lot better so we pay the 100 per month extra to have DH on mine too
