I do praise my so a lot. My dad is huge on getting thanked for any tiny thing he does, and I know he'll stop doing things if he isn't thanked for it. Even if he's just doing something he should be doing as a husband or dad, like the dishes. I never ever expect to be thanked from anyone for doing dishes and I'm not. But my dad does, so I figure its a boy thing and dh probably does too, so I thank him for doing the dishes.

@mrbee: never. But I could care less. I made half those dishes dirty, it's only right that I do them.

Uhhhh. My DH wants praise and credit for EVERYTHING. We were at dinner one night and he goes to his friend "Dude, I'm such a good dad. I totally take care of my kid." I'm like "You're supposed to, you dork." He's a major credit hog.

I have been trying really hard lately to praise SO more than usual. I think we've both been feeling less appreciated. Our focus is on LO so we forget to nurture each other. Now I'm constantly thanking him, even if the things he's doing are small. He tends to say, "no need to thank me!", but I know he appreciates it. Can anyone get sick of hearing thank you?

I thank DH and give him praise fairly often. LO gets praise every day. Mostly "good girl" etc
