Since a lot of people were curious about this, I thought I'd create a poll! I think it's hard to come up with a general figure since you can eat out high end or low end, and one day a week or every day of the week!
We do eat out at least once as a family on the weekend. And Mr. Bee usually buys lunch every day.... maybe once a week I'll join him.

We have cut back A LOT on eating out, it used to be well over 250, but now I would say around 100-150 when said and done. Between dinners and quick lunches. DH eats out pretty frequently for lunches.

My budget is $150/month. We did an informal double budget to see what we needed to put aside for an emergency fund (obviously eating out isn't on there, but we wanted to see what we were spending as a household right now) and DH says he probably spends about $200 on himself and us together. So About $350... but I always go over, so I'm not really sure

Too much. We seem to spend $150+ at least once a month on a really nice dinner while we can before kids. We eat out a minimum one night every weekend. But most nights it is cheaper meals.

I budget $200/month on eating out. Sometime we'll go over that but then our grocery budget will be under so it all balances out.

We spend about $150/month on eating out. We pack our lunches but we’ll go out for dinner at least once a week or lunch on Sunday.

$200 sounds about right. Before we would travel a lot for food -- up to 2 hours away. Now we have an occasional date night but order take out more often. It's difficult to cut back on going out to eat because DH and I enjoy yummy food.

We probably spend 50-100 and that's including take out.

Uh, a lot, apparently. I don't know the last time we got out of dinner with less than a $100 tab, excluding takeout. Even pizza is over $40. Brunch is usually $50-60 (although it was $120 something last weekend) and we go almost every weekend.

Some months, we're really good about eating in if I'm adament about cooking and our eating out tab isn't bad. If I'm lazy and allow the hubby to decide our bill can be absolutely ridiculous.

It seems like lunch for the two/three (if we don't pack LO something from home--kids' meals are a ripoff!) of us easily costs $30-40 and that's not even for a very nice meal. If we eat out twice in one week, it adds up so quickly! At least since we no longer live near a Starbucks, we save a ton of money that way

We probably go out twice a month for $50-$60 dinner and DH gets coffee or lunch every once in a while.

It's shameful how much we eat out...but the food is so good and healthy in our neighborhood, it's hard to resist. When we're good and cook at home, it's no more than 3x a week. But if we're crazed at work, it's every day.

We usually eat out once or twice a month. I'm pretty good about cooking dinner each night and we try to budget our money. We've been in Hawaii for a week and are living in a hotel until our house is ready (fun!) so we've been eating out a lot.
