We spend close to 600 a month between the two of us. My DH's truck is a hog and my car doesn't get as great of gas mileage in town. It's only going to get worse when we get our new SUV!

@jessiejo17: Those SUVs are the worst! I was seriously considering selling it and getting something else cause it's just like money down the drain!

We spend about $30/month... We chose to live and work in an area where there is no need for a commute and all of our life needs can be met right here in town. We also bought a very fuel efficient cross-over SUV.

About $400 and I drive a vw beetle. I drive 45 miles to work each way Monday-Friday. Sucks!

A lot. Plus we have to take a tollway 25 miles each way everyday for work. And we drive an SUV. We are not very smart. LOL.

$0! I walk to work and live within walking distance of everything I need. Food, shopping, gym, transit.

Not a lot. I have a mini van, but I hate driving so I rarely do.

About $150, give or take.
My husband works 2.5 miles away so we don't drive much during the week. But on the weekends we go more places, and our church is 20 miles away/

@artbee: that/s a bummer! I love driving! my sister thinks that's crazy. Even when I'm with my husband, I like to drive

Depends, if we stay around town, we spend about $100 between both vehicles, if we make a trip to our hometown (we head home every 6 weeks or so), we will spend about $200 that month.
We live in a small city (my drive to work is 7 mins, DH's is about 15), so we don't burn a lot of gas even though neither of our vehicles are particularly fuel-efficient (I drive a 6-cyl station wagon, DH drives a SUV).
For the next year, when I am on mat leave, I think our gas costs will be cut down considerably.

$0. Well...I technically spend several hundred $ a month on gas (full size SUV) but my mileage reimbursement at work is very generous, and it more than covers my work and personal gas.
Probably spend about $150 a month on gas for my husband's car.

probably $60 each, so $120 or $150 total for the both of us.
we both drive a lot. i drive at least 50 miles a day in nasty traffic...
we both have priuses--mine gets about 50mpg, and his gets a little more in traffic or a little less on the highway

$500-$600/month. We bjh have long commutes but we both also have decent vehicles, mine gets 30mpg and his gets 28.

@miss-spunkin: I would love to never have to drive again! When I'm rich ill hire a full time driver.

Between two cars, $200. Not bad consider it used to be double that. I now take the bus, so it saves me a bunch of money.

For both cars we put $250 into the gas "fund" every month. Most months we spend less than that, but in the summer it goes up because we travel more. The $250/month covers us year round.

@oliviaoblivia: High five! Doesn't it feel good? The only gas we really use is on weekends when we want to get out of town or run some long distance errands

$200ish I think. On the weekdays, I do lots of driving, including driving my husband to work. He only has to drive on weekends!

@Mrs. Jacks: seriously! Looking at these other tabs reminds me that my commute is awesome.

Not much. We both bike to work since we don't live far away. I probably fill a car up every other month since we do go to visit family about that often.

$200 ish? We both drive small SUVs (jeeps) but mine is newer & gets much better milage but I also drive a lot less than DH

We probably spend upwards of $800 or more on gas. Hubby's trucks are diesel and he drives about 45 miles roundtrip for work 7 days a week, and my massive SUV isn't easy on the gas either. Thank goodness I take public transit to work, which helps out significantly because driving to work takes about 1.5 hours each way with traffic - yikes!!!
