Just curious...
Most of the people I know spend at least a few hundred, if not more, on their kids' bday parties. Entertainment, food, etc- it all adds up pretty quick. First birthdays are especially a big deal in our culture (korean).

Food, balloons, cake, beer - I didn't keep track but I would guess $150, maybe?

We have set a budget of $300 for LO's 1st birthday. This includes everything: cake, presents, decorations, etc. I have no idea what is reasonable, but DH doesn't want me to spend any more than that!
ETA I would love to come in under budget because I enjoy the challenge!

Less than $10. Made the cake and balloons. $30 if you count presents.

A lot. We had over 50 guests for LO 2's first and 47 for LO 1's 3rd. My husband likes getting food catered and that adds up pretty quickly.

We were able to do our first birthday party at home for around $350 which included decorations and catered Chinese food, snacks/drinks from Costco and a grocery store sheet cake. It was a TON of food and was more than enough for our 50 guests. I sent a lot of food home with people.
Second birthday was around 40 people but it was in between meals and we didn't cater lunch so it was a bit cheaper.

My twins first party came out a few thousand dollars. We hired a planner and had it at a restaurant. We are korean. other parties, not sure yet. They didn't have a second bday party. They will be three and I need to throw one cuz all the other day are kids are throwing one. Hopefully just a few hundred bux max.

if I had to make an educated guess, probably $200? maybe $300... I did a terrible job of tracking, but we did a lot of DIY with food and stuff so that helped there...
I spent about $65 on the outfit she was wearing... and probably $60 on party supplies/decorations so that adds up right there! I was not very budget conscious either, which I regret as even with spending a bunch, it wasn't as great as I'd hoped-- I think the money might have been better spent LOL like... not on $40 for 2 giant carebear balloons... and a lot of money on invites people probably tossed out?

Maybe $20 for each LO? We didn't do a party. I home made the cake with most ingredients already in the pantry and we spent about $15 on gifts.
