I know we have all different bodies and different pregnancies, but I was wondering how much you all gained in your pregnancy.
1st pregnancy :
41 weeks : 29.9 lbs
2nd pregnancy :
at 33 weeks : 8.5 lbs.

I'm 37 weeks, i;ve gained 33 pounds from my first OB appointment when I was 6 weeks. I dont know how much I weighed prior to that.
I'm really happy with my weight gain because I was slightly underweight prior and had tried 4ever to gave weight. I'm 5ft 11 and at my current weight of 172 I'm considered normal weight for my height so I'm actually hoping to keep some of this weight after the birth but we'll see..

31 weeks have gained 19 lbs so far.
I'm 5'2 and pre-preg was 114 lbs (5 lbs more than my normal to begin with....and 10 lbs more than my wedding weight...oops!)

@Mrsbells: Ooo well then in that case hope you keep a few pounds

32 weeks and 20lbs so far.
With DD I gained right around 30lbs and I'm probably on track to hit that again.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
This gives me hope that next time I won't gain so much either! Did you do anything different?
GOLD / pomelo / 5167 posts
@artbee: Not really. But I think running after / lifting a 20 month old toddler definitely helped in keeping a low weight gain. I actually lost weight in the first trimester and didn't even have morning sickness.

I'm 25 weeks and I've gained about 8 pounds. I was already overweight when I got pregnant, so my OB suggested I gain 15-20 lbs overall.
GOLD / pomelo / 5167 posts
@HabesBabe: I'm what you consider overweight too but the doc never told me what range I should be gaining for my size. Wish I knew. Ill see if he can tell me next appt. But hes not very worried about weight.
grapefruit / 4400 posts
@blushink: I specifically asked because I was concerned about it (I was about 195 pre-pregnancy and I'm just over 200 now). Luckily, I lost my appetite during the first trimester, so I lost about 8 pounds then! Haha. I definitely think you're on the right track-- you're only a couple of months away and you're still <10 lbs!

I am at 33, almost 34 weeks and have gained about 20 lbs. It honestly feels like way more though because most of it is in my thighs and butt. My thighs are soooooo squishy! GROSS!!!

Sigh.
I'm at 29 weeks.
I've gained.....30lbs.
....I was in a healthy weight range before, though and I don't look TOO much different other than the ginormous belly. I definitely have gained weight in my legs and boobs, too .
GOLD / pomelo / 5167 posts
@HabesBabe: I was 190 when I got pregnant (still 5 lbs over from my first pregnancy) so I know how you feel. hitting that 200 mark is brutal. Well it was for me.
grapefruit / 4400 posts
@blushink: I knew I would get there someday (because hello, I knew I was going to gain more than 5 lbs) but the day it happened was such a bummer.
pomegranate / 3388 posts
I don't know how to count b/c I lost 5 lbs in my 1st trimester. If you count from my pre-pregnancy weight, then I'm +24 lbs at 39 weeks (that's how I prefer to count it). If you count from my lowest weight during pregnancy, then I'm +29 lbs (the way my doctor has been counting it).

36 pounds at about 38 weeks. haven't really been weighing myself though and i always think the ones they do at the doctor's is so inaccurate.
grapefruit / 4056 posts
At 34 weeks I have gained 10 pounds. I have gained 2 of those this week alone though, so I think they might be water retention (my feet and lower legs are beginning to puff up!)

Man I feel like a honker! lol
I'm 21 weeks and I have gained 18-19 lbs.....Sigh......

34 weeks and up 23 lbs, but all belly and boobs!
@blushink: I know how you feel about the 200 mark! I'm hoping to stay under it, and if I gain 30 total, I'll be just a couple lbs shy! fingers crossed!

I'm only 14 weeks, and I'm up 1lb from pre-pregnancy. I started 145..went down to 141 in the first few weeks, and according to Dr I'm 147..but MY scale says 145.5
darn those doctors weighing us fully clothed and shoed.

38 weeks and 39 lbs.! The good thing is that everyone tells me it looks like I'm all belly. But I know the scale doesn't lie.

I had my son at 38+6 and I had gained 36 lbs.
I haven't even lost half of it yet though
coconut / 8234 posts
@miss-spunkin: Threadjacking...but can you send me some labor vibes! Haha. 38+6 sounds perfect right now!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@mrsjazz: haha! Well if you remember, I wasn't allowed to go into labor naturally so not really sure when I would have had him if I wasn't induced. How far are you now?
coconut / 8234 posts
@miss-spunkin: 38wks1day! I have cankles and my feet hurt when I walk. So over!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
So crazy how you've only gained 8.5lbs! I gained 50ish by my last appt.
kiwi / 525 posts
30 weeks now, according to hosp scales have gained 2 lbs. (I already had plenty spare.) Appetite vanished in first trimester, and between 30th sept and 30th jan I'd actually lost 15.5 lbs, now I've put the buggers back on again:( Could be worse.
clementine / 994 posts
17 weeks and according to the doctor's scale, I'm -1. Not sure how that works since I don't fit any of my pants or underwear anymore, and I've gone up two cup sizes already. So I'm getting bigger but not?
cantaloupe / 6146 posts
I'm 5'0" with not a whole lot of room for baby. I've gained 32.2 pounds at 32 weeks and I feel like a huge blimp/whale/monster.
My mom said the weight gain would slow down 3rd tri... it did until this week--I gained 4 pounds since Friday. SO OVER IT.
I now weigh 140 pounds, and everything hurts. Frustrating.

@sorrycharlie: Getting weighed at the dr's office is the worst!! I carefully chose the lightest weight outfits when going to dr's visits. Then I'd take off anything extra like jewelry, sweaters and SHOES!!! Those extra ounces mattered to me!! ;))
I gained 40 with my first, 45 with my second, and 32 with my third. Watched my calorie intake with my third. Tried to have no more than 1800 calories a day.
coconut / 8299 posts
I'm 21 weeks and I've gained 8 lbs. I gained 20 lbs with my 1st pregnancy so I'm hoping to do the same with this one. Gestational diabetes will definitely keep your weight under control. Good but bad because I can't give into my cravings!!!
kiwi / 525 posts
@joyjoy: thats pretty much where i was, early on - my ppetite was shot so I was losing weight, even though babies having no trouble, growing fine. They do most of their fattening up in the third trimster - up to about a half pound a week - so unless you were borderline underweight to start with, don't worry about it. You'll surely make up for it later on! I lost 15.5 pounds between end sept and end jan, and i have them back on now
pomegranate / 3980 posts
I was doing really good until the last 2 weeks now Ive gained a totalof 18 lbs at 28 weeks
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
I didn't really want to keep count but with the last number on the scale I had to go back and figure it out so that I can be more careful. I gained a total of 35-40 lbs with Wagon Jr., and at 22 weeks I've already gained 20 That is, 20 since my 10 week appointment, so it's actually more. Yikes!!
persimmon / 1087 posts
I'm too scared to weigh myself! The nurses weigh me with me facing away from the scale. I know that it is at least 40ish.
GOLD / pomelo / 5167 posts
@mrs. wagon: Don't worry it will come off! Did you lose your baby weight before having baby #2? I still had 5 lbs to lose.
