@marriedandlovingit: Really? I love knowing how much i've gained. Motivates me to lose once baby arrives. I guess everyone is different with their weight.

28 lbs at 37 weeks. I don't have an easy time losing weight at all, so I'm really hoping BF will help me lose it after baby.

@jennylynn: Oh that's a great weight gain. I wouldnt worry about it. ONly advice, is that when you stop breastfeeding be sure to watch was you eat because I kept eating the same and I gained back a 10 lbs I had lost.

Thanks! Good to know ahead of time! I know I need to re-evaluate my eating habits after baby. I've really slipped on healthy eating since becoming pregnant.

@aunt pol: Good to know I'm not alone! I'm not *trying* to lose weight, and the baby is doing/growing fine. I figure as long as the baby is healthy the weight will come on where and when it needs to.

@blushink: I did! I lost all but 5 lbs in the first month just from the breastfeeding, and I had zero appetite the whole first month. I slowly lost the last 5 over the next year or so. I'm really really hoping I can keep my weight gain to about the same and lose it exactly the same way as last time.... and then getting to MILF status after that

At my last 34 week appointment I had gained a total of 33.6lbs. I'm happy and healthy so I'm not worried!

@blushink: let's do it!!! I decided that for every 5 lbs I lose post-baby, I'll treat myself to something nice. Right now it's yoga clothing from lululemon-- SO pretty, and motivation to work out to be able to wear it! At first I thought wait, that's so expensive... but hey, if it gets really expensive, that's a GOOD thing because then I'll have lost 20 lbs!

@mrs. wagon: I think rewarding ourselves with "material" stuff is PERFECT!!!! Hopefully if I keep gaining the way I am right now, I'll leave the hospital thinner then when I got pregnant. But I've been working on getting back to my highschool weight. 160 lbs. So thats 30 lbs more to lose. yikes!
I told myself a shopping spree would be the end prize, seeing my current clothes would no longer fit.

@blushink: I agree, it's a perfect motivation tool!! Your progress during your pregnancy is definitely inspiring... keep it up, mama! And post baby we'll definitely have to lose it together! I don't see myself getting back to high school weight (135) but getting to college weight (150) would be perfect. So our goals are pretty similar! Let's do it!!

@mrs. wagon: I'm so with you!!!!! I need motivation. A buddy because otherwise I slack off!
Actually now that you say it, my highschool weight was about 140 and college 160. ha. so we are right there together. I would LOVE to get down to 150, but I don't want to discourage myself.

@blushink: haha cool! So we ARE really similar... yay!
I went all the way down to 145 with weight watchers a year after my wedding, but I know I'm older and after 2 kids it'll be a lot tougher this time around. So 150 would be fantastic for me... but at the same time I want to stay realistic. I think an initial goal of 160 would be ideal, and then getting those last 10 pounds off will definitely be a challenge but SO worth it. Plus this time I hope to do it with exercise, not just eating right-- when I lost the weight with weight watchers, my clothes looked so much better but I was still really flabby and very much not happy with my body even after losing 25 pounds!
I have a friend who is training to be a yoga and crossfit instructor, and she's been doing prenatal yoga sessions with me for her training, and it's been awesome. We were doing crossfit before I got pregnant, and I really surprised myself by being able to do things like box jumps. So I'm excited for that!

@mrs. wagon: How awesome. Ya, I've done ZERO WORKOUT. unless running after a toddler is considered cardio

@blushink: hehe of course it is!!!
Yes I am also a zero workout kind of girl... my friend the aspiring yoga teacher has been amazing. It's really motivating since I know it helps her reach her goal, and she is so gentle and patient with me.
