We are planning on painting one of our guest rooms... reinsulating the window... and obviously the cost of furniture...
How much did your nursery cost? What is the average that we can expect to put into redoing a guest room into a nursery?

The furniture we have in LO's room is:
- a crib (Graco brand, approx. $250)
- crib mattress ($180)
- glider ($350)
- Ikea wardrobe ($150?)
- Ikea book shelf ($100?)
- Ikea square table ($10)= Just over $1000
Plus 1.5 cans of paint for the walls.

Changing table (used): $30
Paint: $40
Curtains: $7 for two homemade panelsThere will probably be more to come, though: book shelves, decorations, etc.
We are using one of our dressers for the baby and will probably use our la-z-boy as our glider/rocker.

We used Ikea for furniture...in comparable US dollar prices, we spent:
Crib/mattress $200
Wardrobe $200
side table/nightstand $40
Changing table $50 on clearance
Blackout shades $160 for 2 panels
Area rug $160We repurposed:

sofa sleeperWe didn't paint, it was freshly painted when we moved in 3 years ago.
