I work in NJ so I can take 4 weeks before and up to 18 after. Only 10 are short term disability with some pay. The other 12 are mostly unpaid. It is all job protected thanks to NJFMLA (doesn't start until you are off work to take care of someone else--so for a baby starts at 6 weeks post partum and covers 12 weeks hence the 18 weeks after)

6-8 weeks unpaid, though I might get paid through some donated sick leave. I don't qualify for FMLA, but at least my employer is holding my job for me! I work PT so hopefully going back that early won't be too terrible. Husband will take one week of sick leave and is trying to build up some comp time.

I'm currently on leave and taking 3 months off (full pay). It's ending in 3 weeks though. So sad!
