I want to let my fortnightly cleaning lady go and am wondering whether I need to give her notice and if so, how much?
If it makes a difference, my reasons are half trying to save money and half being unhappy with her work.

I'm not sure what fortnightly means? But i would probably give her a week or two notice and explain it's no longer in the budget.

I'm not sure if it matters whether it's just one person on her own or if she works for a company. However, I really gave no notice to the company that I wanted to stop. That's probably not the best answer but it happened.

I was thinking I should probably give her that as notice but the thought of paying another $75 after today's clean makes me sigh. But I want to be fair.

If she just cleaned today, I would say that letting her go today would be acceptable. I don't know if you're home while she cleans but I would be paranoid if someone I let go was to be alone in my house.

I've never given notice, just cancel at least a few days before the next cleaning.
