No official leave, but when he is in town he works from home- so he was working as things came up but physically here for a month- so he was a huge help. It was his bosses idea and worked for everyone.

Just for him: 5 weeks at 70% on basic or 3 weeks at 75% on special. Best part is he can take them at the same time I am & we both receive benefits.
Shared: up to 35 weeks on basic & I cant remember special.
Also: any vacation time he has saved up - usually a week.

6 days. He qualified for FMLA, but would have had to exhaust all banked vacation/sick/etc. That just wasn't worth it to us as we have a daycare baby who will almost certainly need some sick days.

@mrscobee: how does one get unlimited paid vacation?! So he can take the whole year off, not work and get paid?
1 week vacation for the first. 1 week with #2. He had just started a new job and we fully expected he wasn't going to get paid but we were pleasantly surprised!
Company too small to qualify for FMLA.

@regberadaisy: Haha!! No, he could NOT do that. He'd get fired for sure. It is kind of a within reason type thing, but there are no official limits, and no one tracks it. If you get your stuff done, and have enough charge hours, you're good (at management or ownership level). Most people take between 3-6 weeks per year, but if there is a year where you want to go on a special vacation or have a baby (male or female) nobody is going to complain if you take 8-16 paid and work from home, as long as you are communicating with others and get your work done. Don't get me wrong, this company has some downsides, but this is one HUGE benefit.
