I've heard/read horrible reviews about the PB sectionals!

I probably wouldn't pay more than $2500 for a couch...maybe $3500 for a sectional

$3000 would be the max depending on the fabric and if it's going to be our nice living room couch.

I also wouldn't pay full price. We have always bought our furniture when they are having a sale/promotion.

I'm probably the cheapest person here, but I paid $1000 for a couch, loveseat, chair, ottoman, two tables and lamps, and tons out pillows and still cringed! All from Rooms to Go. The quality is fine and it's pretty. More money towards the college fund!

Sectionals are always more expensive especially if they have recliners.

For us, with kids, it didn't make sense to spend a bunch. We stayed under $1000.

We did a custom leather couch in our last house, we designed it with a chaise on the end type thing. We spent like $3500. Then we built a bigger house and we needed more couch, so we ordered a matching smaller couch from the same place for around $2K. I love PB couches and the deep cushions and the one I love (leather) is like 5 or 6K and if I could go back, I actually would have just gotten that one. We did order a PB cloth (like mid range fabric) sleeper sofa for our office and it was like $1700 but it's awesome! It's small though, it's not a sectional, just a normal sized sofa.

Sectionals are really expensive! So is crappy furniture that wears out. I'd pay 2-3K, but get something without retardants like Gus Modern.

For now it is craigslist, but I'm happy with the mid century things I've collected!

I said 500-1000. Seriously though, with small children I just can't justify buying expensive furniture.

$2k max. I've never been super impressed with PB, especially considering the price tag. I think you pay a lot for the name and the quality isn't always there so I wouldn't shell out the like $6k they want for a sectional/big sofa.

pre-marriage, I had this sectional from Crate and Barrel....it's a tweed. I love it, but couldn't bring it here. I bought it for just under $3000...

I just sold my house (I've been renting it), so it's currently listed on CL for $1200 obo. End of an era...the last of my single days, haha

ETA: I did not arrange those wonky throw pillows. That was my realtors doings.

I have been wanting a new couch for the longest time! My dream couch is like €7000 for a sectional. I even walk by the store from time to time to drool over it in the window. My reality couch is more like €2000 for a similar configuration. My husband's reality is more like €1000, but I can't find anything for that price.
