So quiet, we love it.

Not loud at all. Our neighbors are all in their 70s and we live on a one way street which limits traffic.

Considering we live 2 miles from our nearest neighbors, it's pretty quiet.

Very quiet. Good amount of street traffic but we have good windows.

I was going to say medium, but reading the responses it's probably moderately loud. We live in a residential type are of a big city, so there are always people on the streets and cars and trucks going by. The bigger issue, noise wise, is all the construction that is always going on. Luckily C's room has windows that just face the building next to ours and don't get nearly as much noise from the street, and our unit is in the back of the building anyway, overlooking a smaller alley type street instead of the bigger one that always has construction.

Very quiet, although we live on one of the "busiest" streets in the neighborhood. However, our area is sort of a peninsula, so we don't get through traffic from people trying to get from one part of the city to another. There is a small cluster of retail shops and restaurants, but we're several blocks from there so we don't hear any of the noise. About the only time it's a bit noisy is Saturday mornings when baseball/softball/soccer clubs have games in the nearby park, but even that is far enough from our house that what we hear doesn't bother us.

@RubyCali: same. I was just complaining today how noisy the leaf blowers are and my baby can't nap, even with a white noise machine. So it will be nice once all the leaves are gone! However, for people who work out of the house, they would never know, like my DH. He would answer "quiet".

In the summer it can be kind of loud with everyone taking care of their lawns during the day. It's quieter in the winter months, but I can still hear the occasional train that passes by. I live on a smaller street which helps.

Its really quiet here.

It's normally super quiet BUT we live next to an Amtrak station so we have that come through every few hours. It doesn't interrupt anyone's sleep and I barely notice it unless a freight train goes through, but that's maybe only twice a month.

Otherwise pretty silent, except for several weeks of all-night construction on the tracks over the summer. That sucked hard. Like...really hard.

Really quiet. We are probably the only couple in our neighborhood under 60. The houses are spread out too. My old neighborhood was really loud with lots of kids running around!

Used to be peaceful and quiet until the construction started. It started almost a yr ago and I can't wait for them to be done. They start at 7am, 24/7!!

A little noisy, but not bad. We live in front of a park, so I hear kids and families all day long.

Eh, not very loud with the windows closed. The only thing is we live near an airport so you do hear the planes go by. Although it's one of those things where after you're here a while you don't even hear them anymore until someone else mentions them.

We live on a cul-de-sac in a pretty quiet neighborhood. The loudest thing around is our dog whenever kids are playing on the street in front of out house.

with my first, we lived in the city in a condo on a busy street. It was the most frustrating when the city would be doing construction work on our block, when the bus (stop is right below our window) drove by, or when a random ambulance, police car or firetruck would go by...that happened pretty often. We since moved and our neighborhood is much quieter although we live in front of a field with a baseball diamond....the kickball, softball leagues are still in season and they can be a ruckus! but DS sleeps through that luckily.

Quiet except for the illegal rooster and the occasions where the neighbor works outside and plays loud music.

Ours is pretty quiet. We live in a small cul de sac and the loudest it gets is when the people in the house behind ours plays super loud music. But they have a "For Rent" sign on their fence so hoping for some quieter music in the future.
