In the summer we really have to bathe them every day. They are outside so much, swim, etc. In the winter I am tempted to do it every day (school germs) but I do it every other day instead.

Generally every other day. Sometimes she gets messy enough she needs it on an off day. I always make sure to put lotion on right away to lock in moisture.

I know I'm in the minority- my 4yo takes a bath 1x a week (unless she really needs it or we need an activity) and my 9w old has had two in a tub and a few with wash cloth.
We wash hands after the bathroom and before meals, we wash faces morning and night and I still wipe the 4yo bottom. My 4yo has dry skin, so shampoo and soap dry her out, we live in an area in drought conditions...so it's just not a daily thing for us. If my 4yo requests it, we will do it more often. In summer we do a lot of hose showers, we have an outdoor shower set up, and that's fun.

Every 2-3 days or so, depending on how messy she is or how chaotic the evening is, haha.

I don't wash her hair every day, but I usually bathe her every day because she gets so dirty at preschool.

Every other day. Really whenever I need to wash her hair...

My 14 month old has a shower or bath most days. She takes a shower with me every weekday morning, because she can't handle being left alone and my husband leaves super early. On the weekends, and some weekday nights, she gets a bath for fun and to get clean. If she didn't shower with me, I'd aim for every other day.

Mostly everyday in the summer.
Probably once a week in the winter. My DS had eczema last winter and his skin always looked so much worse for the two days following a bath.

Every day, all year, since it's part of our routine every night and I don't like to mix things up. I wash her hair and body more frequently in the summer though. Right now we only wash her hair maybe 2-3 times per week.

Even in the summer we don't bathe every day (but if she was extra sweaty, was playing out, etc then of course). We just wipe her down on the days we don't actually bathe. Winter we easily do every 2-3 days.........

Usually 1-2x/week because it's such a process bathing 2! We do a little more in the winter to help ease congestion as needed, but in those instances I don't wash their hair or even soap their bodies more than 1-2x/week. It's all so drying!

@OldpuebloJenn: Me too! We do bath 1-2 times per week. Unless he's getting really messy or we just want to do more. He gets his butt cleaned at every diaper change and face/hands cleaned at meals.

I wish I could say it was because it dried out my son's skin, but really, we give baths when we think he needs one or we want him to play in the tub for a bit because he's being a disaster around the house.
It equates to probably 1-2x a week.

LO has eczema in the winter so we try to bathe only
2-3 times a week during the colder months.

Agreed that I would love to bathe daily due to germs. In the summer we usually bathe daily. In the winter we bathe my older 2 every other day or every third day because my middle son has eczema so we try to keep at a minimum. My poor almost 6 month old only gets a bath once per week. We try (try being the key word) to wash face and hands on the nights we don't do bath!

We bathe DS daily. Partially because year round he manages to get dirty, sweaty and germy. And partially because it's part of his routine and he expects it. He gets upset if he doesn't get one.
Now that we have DD and I've been home on leave we've been bathing her at pretty random intervals. I'm not sure what we'll do once she starts daycare in a couple weeks. An infant doesn't get dirty the way an older kid does, but they can still get germy. But it's a PITA to bathe two kids separately. It'll be easier when they can go in the tub together.

2-3 times per week, plus extras when especially grimy, year round.
watermelon / 14467 posts
Once a week, year round, unless she gets particularly dirty one day.

I am trying to move away from it being part of the bedtime routine and not do it every night. He's a sweaty headed kid though!

My older son is gross and needs a daily bath...lol. I bathe the baby every 2-3 days.

DD is 3 and she gets washed mostly every day still but I don't feel as bad about skipping in the winter since she doesn't have chlorine from the pool on her skin. She's a hot sleeper and tends to get extremely sweaty/ stinky so she often gets a shower in the morning during the summer and I bathe at night in the winter.

Every day. My 18 month old has wild hair past her shoulders which ends up with cheese sticks and Cheerios buried in it. She face paints with cream cheese. So yup, bath every day

He's 2. Every day with the exception here or there. Never skip more than a day though. He sweats.
He loves his bath and it's part of the routine (though we could get by without it). He's so happy in the tub "swimming".
I also think he needs it even more since starting preschool. He feels germy to me.

Every day during the week to get preschool germs off. Over the weekend we don't always bathe him, depends on whether we get home with enough time before his bedtime.
