We haven't changed either of the girls rooms since we moved in/LO2 was born. But they didn't really have a theme to begin with. I'm waiting until they are old enough to tell me what they really want and then we will change it up. So sometime in the next few years, I'm sure!

I decorated DD's big girl room a few months ago and I don't plan on changing anything until she leaves for college

-big kid room - age 3DS - changed again at age 6. He is approaching 8 and wants to change it again but I think its too soon!

I did my son's big kid room when we moved into our house, it's pretty "basic" in that it has a bedding set that isn't themed so that we can change out the wall art as he wishes.
It's loosely nautical, but that's only because of the two giant canvases I painted, one of a hammerhead shark and the other of a whale.

I didn't with DD1's room at our old house, we were there for 3.5 years. We just moved last month, and she got to pick out her curtains and paint color (with mom approval). I didn't hang all of the nursery art back on her walls, but let her pick out a couple of pieces to hang, and I've gotten her some new stuff. Definitely feels more "grown up". Lots of flowers and unicorns, lol.

We only change when we move. That said, my DD is going to get a big girl bed sometime soon, so we'll need new bedding and we may rearrange the furniture. I don't think we'll add much in the way of decor though. Neither of their rooms were very baby-ish and they have grown well with them.

We make small changes in LO1's room. I never completed it when he was born, and we have made adjustments along the way. LO2's room hasn't changed, and it will probably remain the same until we move the two kids into one room.
