We rarely use our first names around each other! We are boring and we use Babe a lot.
How often do you call your SO by their first name?

His full name at least once a day. Hahah
Usually I call him "appa" (dad in Korean) since that's what Lo calls him.

I'd say 90% of the time:)
He uses mine maybe 40% of the time...when he says it I get excited:) don't know why.

Hardly ever. When we're around the house it's just the two of us, so I just start talking and he knows I'm talking to him (though sometimes I'm sure he pretends not to hear me) :-p. I only really use his name if we're in a group and I need to get his attention.

All the time. For some reason, it doesn't come naturally for me to use a pet name with him. Not that I think they're weird, it just doesn't happen.
pomelo / 5789 posts
Rarely. I usually call him sweetie. I only say his name if I'm trying to catch his attention across a room.

I don't know if Mrs. Bee has ever used my first name! Unless we're in a crowded room...
I use her first name, although I've started saying Mommy if we're in front of the kids and all playing together. Otherwise, Charlie starts calling her Bee!

Practically never! We call each other terms of endearment. Even when we're out with a group, I call him babe or honey, etc.

Not often. Usually only if I need to get his attention in a public place.... or if he's in trouble!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
When I'm having trouble getting his attention and have said "Honey" a few times already.
He very rarely uses my first name. It's always strange when I hear it from his mouth.

Just yesterday my DH said "Heather, I think the new curtains look really good." I was so taken aback! we rarely use eachother's names since we say babe so much. I kind of liked it....it made me feel so loved hearing him so my name (which is totally weird, shouldn't it be the opposite?). Lol.

not often.. unless were in an argument he calls me by my first name so I sarcastically use his name right after.

Not often. Usually only if we're around a lot of our friends (we call each other babe, and our couple friends mostly all use the same for each other) so that it doesn't get confusing LOL

We call each other Boo. I don't know why. And now there's a lot of Daddy and Mommy.

Maybe once or twice a week, max. It feels weird to hear him say my name, and it's weird to say his name... glad I'm not the only one!

Rarely. I always call him hun.
If I'm talking about him to someone else it depends on who I'm talking to but I MIGHT use his name then....
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
Not too often. Usually only if I'm mad at him We'll either use nicknames or lately, I've been calling him "appa" (dad in Korean).
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
Rarely. We only use it if we have to call out for each other or if we're arguing. LOL
bananas / 9973 posts
Probably half the time I think I use his first initial "J" because it's quick and easy. Especially in public! Hey usually calls me "honey".
pomelo / 5093 posts
Rarely. We use a lot of nicknames and pet names. Babe, baby, honey, lots of those. He almost never uses my name, when he does it startles me.
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
It's really funny that we're not the only ones! Haha! I kind of thought we were? When DH calls me by my name, it's when he's jokingly scolding me and vice versa. I always reply, "Don't you 'Jennifer' me!!!" and he'll say the same thing to me:)
It just sounds so foreign to my ears after so many years of calling each other pet names. We usually just say "Baby" but we also say "Wifers/Hubbers" a lot....
pomelo / 5331 posts
Hardly ever! Only when I'm frustrated at him or in another room and I really need him and calling "Baby" didn't work.
pomelo / 5132 posts
I almost always call him by his name. He, on the other hand, almost always calls me Angel. It is rare when he uses me name, and kind of strange! It's nice when he does and takes me aback.
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
Haha usually only when we're out in public or I am referring to him when speaking to someone else. We rarely call each other by our first names when it's just the two of us.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
Probably 97% of the time. I sometimes call him Cakes but just when I want something. He doesn't ever call me by my name or a pet name lol. Actually now that I think about it that is a little strange. Maybe he forgot my name?
pomegranate / 3872 posts
All the time, at home I call him by a cutesy version of his name, but I'm in his office all the time so I have to just call him by his name.
