When I was working I probably vacuumed once a week (our main living area/where we wear shoes/kitchen has wood floors) & I would sweep everyday. I had two months off of work before LO was born & I would vacuum the entire house every other day (my house was epically clean & delightful!) Now that she is here I'm back to about once a week & a sweep probably every other day. How often do you get to vacuuming?

@Mrs. Bee: @betsyboop: I know! It was glorious when I did it every other day but 1/2 the time the sound scares my LO & any other time I have the time to do it, I usually have just gotten her down for nap/bed. Oh well, a little dirt never hurt!

Had carpet I vacuumed everyday, alternating upstairs/downstairs each day.Now I swiffer everyday and steam mop once a wk - again alternating upstairs/downstairs each day. It usually takes at least half an hour each day. Def my least fave chore!!

I'm not kidding.. I just vacuumed for the... third (!) time today. I have a massive hairy dog. For Some reason he's shedding his fur like crazy this month! I don't understand why.. it's the middle of winter. It's so annoying. I try to do it every day, but I need to do it at least twice a day. Mostly with dd being on the floor for lots of tummy time and all that. That's just the carpet though. The other floors I do maybe every other day or so.

I vacuum every other day. We have 2 cats and they shed a lot. We live in a 2 bedroom apt, so it doesn't take too long and my LO actually falls asleep to the vacuum!
I like to vacuum! I get some sick pleasure from seeing how much grossness that it picked up after I finish. I'm weird

I got a new fancy vacuum for Christmas so I'm a little obsessed and vacuum twice a day most days. Thankfully Charlie loves it and giggles and growls at it

I am so lazy! I vacuum once a week tops and I have a big dog. I hate vacuuming with the firey passions of my heart, though.

I have a shedding dog (and I shed too, lol) so I used to touch-up vacuum twice a week, and then bust out my dyson and deep vacuum once a week. DH got me a Roomba for Christmas, so thankfully during the week I can just use that to touch up, but still thoroughly vacuum once a week!

Now that my LO is crawling, I vacuum once a day or once every other day. I have this huge fear of him getting sick from the carpets - they are not new or anything

Oh man, once a week usually. It's just me and LO at home most of the time, and we don't have any pets... I need to step up my sweeping game though. We have a LOT of floor in the lurching/dining/entry area. Blah.

Errrr once a week, maybe? Whenever DH complains he can't walk around barefoot because there's crap sticking to his feet.

About every other day. I have a long haired white dog and a red carpet (stupid rental carpet) and it looks awful if I don't vacuum all the time!

I don't sweep though unless it is needed after I've vacuumed for the day. I enjoy vacuuming! And my dog and cat shed like woah despite being short-haired.

All the time, sadly. We have a yellow Lab who sheds nonstop and I am a bit OCD about my floors. He is currently "vacationing" with my parents and I am amazed at how clean my floors have stayed.

2-3x month? We don't have pets, don't wear shoes in the house and only ever eat in the kitchen. If we so eat in front of the tv (rare), i'll vacuum right away (that counts towards my 2-3x/m). It stays clean somehow, then again, the majority of our home is hardwood and I sweep/mop multiple times a week.

Once a week when we do our big clean of the house. When I was on maternity leave, and when I worked from home I vacuumed every other day (and sometimes every day!). Not enough time or energy to do that now!

Only once a week. I'm sure it will be more when DS starts crawling and can't be contained any more on a clean blanket! It would also be a lot more often if we had pets.

Once a week. I'd like to do it more but it takes 40 minutes to vacuum the whole house and I have to wear my 8-month-old while I do it, (he's scared of the vacuum otherwise). It's a bit of an exhausting chore, but I love clean floors! Now that he's starting to crawl, I'd like to vacuum and mop more often.

@CupQuakeWalk: Glad I'm not alone! All those 1-2 times a week comments were making me feel bad, lol. We vacuum 1-2/month and as needed in higher traffic areas and when there is a mess.

Oh my, everyone is so tidy!! Once a month when our cleaning lady comes... occasionally we'll vacuum once in between her visits if it's really bad or we're expecting company. I hate vacuuming, so it's DH's job.
