Ugh, it's such a pain to wash water bottles! Mine usually end up sitting on the counter for awhile once I consider them dirty; same with those reusable plastic straw cups. I need to find something dishwasher safe.

My dishwasher safe Camelbacks go in the dishwasher whenever I run it (assuming they've been used). I wash the non-dishwasher safe ones every other day. The straws and tops always go in the dishwasher.

My Nalgene gets left at work M-F, and brought home and dishwashered every weekend.

Ummm....yeah not very often. I bring my water bottle to work and the gym and it rarely gets washed. I only ever use water in it, at least.
